you mentioned you want to see Asoka soon, I would definitely recommend checking the trailer out for that. Even though it’s an older movie, the trailer is cut really well (no subs required as there’s no dialogue) and gives a great idea of what to expect. Very underrated SRK movie imo.

the place where the train stopped is dudhsagar waterfalls near Mumbai (no where close to Chennai) most of the shoot locations were in Munnar (Kerela) the temple scene attire that Deepika wore was a traditional Kerela saree (again nothing to do with Chennai) Deepika Tamil accent is completely fake. That is not how south Indians speak Hindi

This was fun! Definitely not my favorite movie… a lot of stuff is wrong in there…especially Rohit Shetty’s take on South India is basically a mash up all the different cultures together… also that tribute to Rajinikanth at the end… please! 😂🙏 i can share a youtube video where a standup comedian dissects the song line by line and explains that it has nothing to do with Rajini truly! It was a I-dont-give-a-shit song… Anyways… It was nice seeing Korbin and Steph have a good time! My SRK recommendations for a watchalong with Steph for Korbin: 1. My Name is Khan 2. Mohabbatein 3. Ok so this is exactly why many south indians including myself Api, Maya take offense to such movies where there is such portrayal this isnt even stereotyping this is just poorly researched and crappy representation of South Indians if you want to check in real life I dont think Abdul Kalam, Sundar Pichai,Sathya Nadella, Indra Nooyi mix noodles with yoghurt and call everyone Rascala when they are irritated !!! If there was a Tamil movie where they are going to show a North Indian guy at this day and age with glistened chest dancing in a cringe filled pub dance with no touch of reality and live in Delhi house which looks like castle in England and make them look like someone who has lost touch with real life then you can say how much of fun it will be for fellow North Indians oh and add to it Amitabh Bachan to the mix.This subject is getting so stale that everytime I comment I know there is no point to it, but the Tamilian in me just cant seem to help it.

Damn! Someone seems to be offended. I didn’t even think of all that when suggesting this movie. I was referring in terms of VFX, presentation, and pretty fun plot line altogether. Also, I believe he played a pretty good South Indian. Lol 😂 I mean I’ve watched many South Indian movies and the portrayal seems fairly accurate. I know not all South Indians are like that, but I’m sure they did their research. No offense! Just take it all in fun. There are many South Indian movies where they stereotype North Indians as well, specially Punjabis. I don’t mind. Chill! Cut the tension. 😂

This was pretty ordinary until the first half. I was planning to switch it off. And then the temple scene happened where SRK lifts Deepika and climbs up the stairs. After that, movie just climbed to dizzying heights. Loved every second after that. Again SRK’s eyes stole the show for me. Please do a watchalong of KANK next time. First 45 minutes of it is a headache. But hang on. Then it turns the tables quickly and is massively enjoyable after that.

Have y’all watched SRK’s super hero film “Ra. One”? That movie was way ahead of its time at least for Indian Audiences. People did not realize it at that time. They definitely do after Adupurush. Also, I’m very positive you guys will enjoy this movie. Definitely for a watch along.

Karan chose such a jarring tonality in KANK considering the story and also tried to incorporate random comedic pieces and other bits to commercialize it...the movie is all over the place. I don't know if a lot of people who have watched KANK recently would still recommend it...was a brave attempt for its time to have SRK go against his image and play a cheating spouse but doesn't hold up well now in my opinion. There are far better SRK movies to watch before you get to movies like KANK. Please don't choose another mid movie after Chennai Express. Steph would love My Name Is Khan!
