This sets a bad example. He may not have the same physical/emotional journey as the mom but he’s supposed to be present and try just as hard. And that’s why the question should be asked of both genders.

2024-02-08 01:54:11 +0000 UTCI mean..... just based on his behavior with Katrina (on camera) during the promotions of Jagga Jasoos and how inappropriate and rude he was to her told me a lot about who he is. Surprisingly though he always is so respectful with Deepika despite her infamous KWK episode making sure to clarify that he did cheat on her. And HONESTLY, I think it's because of who she is and where she comes from, including her dad being a successful athlete. In contrast, Katrina has no famous parents or relationships in any industry. I can't imagine why else bc they are both such talented, composed, and successful women with Katrina being in the movies much longer than him.

She could've just said "her dance moves".

A father can be a complete hands on dad.. still a woman is changed.. Yes 🙌🏽 dont ask the questions to both mom or dad - but i do believe the woman should get to dictate all terms..

2023-11-19 21:35:05 +0000 UTCAbsolutely 100% with Rick on the mother being more required (emotionally, physically and mentally) to be the primary carer in the first year of child's life. Yes with great support systems and many (not all) fathers doing fathering the way it should be done new mothers are able to balance more and better but it again depends on how a mother feels about going back to work. My husband offered to feed my children with stored breast milk and I just couldn't. I needed to physically hold my babies while feeding them! That is what my hormonal body was telling me to do do and I listened to it. This and other things made me decide to extend my maternity leave. I planned to go back to work after 8 months of maternity leave but ended up extending it to 12 months as just couldn't cope emotionally with leaving my baby for work. It depends on person to person but physically and emotionally new mothers do face more challenges balancing work and life. Effects of pregnancy lasts way after babies are born - and for some women for a very long time - so it definitely affects their work and work choices. One of my colleagues had to change her work role as she could no longer drive long distances for client meetings due to effects of pregnancy on her body! I don't think many fathers have these things affect their work decisions or roles or responsibilities!

Please watch Kareena's Talaash, Dev, Chameli and Heroine, plus Kurbaan and Asoka to see her acting skills. She was ALWAYS a good actress. And, you won the argument at exactly 1:00, Korbin - good to see a debate reach its logical conclusion. But I do see Rick's pov too never confuse a mother's superior role (just cos of the birth and slow recovery) with a father's inferior role. A mother's role in GIVING BIRTH IS HUGEEEE and should never go unacknowledged. But that doesn't mean they should ask those questions in a professional setting, no way. For eg., it's illegal in many places for the boss to ask the employee when exactly she will come back after maternity leave. A whole load of bias is stacked up against the employee and obviously she is in a vulnerable space. "Pregnant then Screwed!" is a good book on it.
