Something as out of ordinary as human sacrifice needed a bit more than couple of dialogues in the middle of a song. The sister doesn't utter a word till captured. Cant introduce a character and kill it in 5 min and expect audience to feel something. The last two action sequences were the weakest in the movie. Felt like they ran out of money and ideas. The movie is enjoyable to a degree and also audience is mad about LCU. The way theatre erupted for even bgm of rolex in end credits has to be seen to be believed. Even a hint of Rolex in this movie would have brought pandemonium. So many missed opportunities story-wise.

2023-10-21 06:43:15 +0000 UTCAs a Hindi speaking fan of Lokesh (Kaithi>Vikram>>Master), this movie left me in two minds. Was so excited by the first half. Second half took some things away. Das brothers and the twin sister needed more writing. As presented, that entire plot point of human sacrifice was bizzare. The quality of action scenes also suffered. Perhaps Lokesh was hinting at time and money constraints when he spoke about release date being pre-advertised and landing cost being already 300 crs.

I'm a Vijay fan, so I do acknowledge my bias 😅

2023-10-19 21:55:30 +0000 UTCIts a tale of two halves for me… i wanted more from the second half… i needed some more detail in the writing for the Das brothers and the whole back story… thats the expectation i probably had for the movie… but absolutely loved Vijay 🔥 he was just fire… and loved the action sequences and all the Cameos 😉 the ending was just spectacular just because its not something you have experienced in tamil cinema… that was just 🤌💵

2023-10-19 15:52:30 +0000 UTCMy order of Lokesh's films: Kaithi > Leo > Vikram > Master > Maanagram. All very good films, therefore disappointingly have to put Maanagaram at the end. The man has such a blemishless filmography till date! P.s: I put Leo above Vikram purely because I came out of the theatre more happier with Leo than Vikram. I can see others rate Vikram higher because its what set up the universe. For me, the Leo first half is probably the best of Lokesh! I so damn want to talk about spoilers, but holding myself out. 😂

I wanted nothing more than to get every reference and know everyone on screen. I’m so happy you guys loved because I really really loved this movie. Vijay did 💯% surrender to Lokesh and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I’m going to watch it again on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. I couldn’t ask for a better birthday gift really. I love Vijay so much
