Many had said its a remake of diry carnival i have watched both it isnt remake ! It is inspired coz this movie will give you no reminiscence of Dirty Carnival at all except the story line ! The same director made a film called "Jigarthanda" which is an ICONIC film in Tamil cinema, that was a blockbuster and also artistically BRILLIANT!!! I would actually STRONGLY recommend that you guys watch "Jigarthanda" (2014; Tamil movie; directed by Karthik Subbaraj) and do a watch-along before you guys visit the theatre for this one. And watch this "Double X" in a theatre. Pretty sure it has enough star power in it to get a wide USA release. Karthik Subbaraj (director) is in the Lokesh Kanagaraj zone, where he makes massy films with lots of class (I would say Karthik is more classier than Lokesh). Because of that, he has had a few misfires, but he is a solid director.

I am excited for this movie, I love Karthik's movies, I strongly suggest that you watch his movie Jigarthanda before you watch this as you can be acquainted with his style of movies This movie is not a sequel or anything but has movie making as a part of the plot.
