I am surprised you didn't recognize Waheeda Rehman - beautiful, iconic actress - you saw her in movie GUIDE, PYAASA (with Guru Dutt) and then later in Rang De Basanti as the mother of the pilot who died. She was a lead actress in 60's and 70's.

The actor and director is Raj Kapoor (father of Rishi), you’ve seen his film Awaara (which he also directed), and I recall you both loved it. Really interested to see what y’all think about this one.
