He is known as the most versatile actor ever and many say, there will never be one more like him. Later in the 90s he was typecasted in comedy though him being a party to it, but the special thing of his was that : 1. He overshadowed every other actor on the screen however big they may be, and this is a very well known fact in the industry. 2. Apart from many successful films, he has a string of unsuccesful ones also but in each, his performance was stellar and he leaves you with a couple of memorable emotional moments in them too. Suddenly while laughing, you get serious and at times you shed a tear or two.
