2024-06-10 03:45:48 +0000 UTCNo, Panchathanthiram is very dialogue-heavy with a lot of puns, and double and triple entendres that I'm pretty sure the subs won't do justice. It'd be a disaster of a watch-along IMO.

2024-06-06 00:29:33 +0000 UTCThe comedy in Panchathanthiram is largely based on puns, and references (especially between the languages) that will fall flat when translated. Some slapstick would be fun, but otherwise this movie is unlikely to be a great experience, especially considering it's cult following. As a big fan of the movie, I'm apprehensive about the reaction.
