Well put Christina, it is lovely and amazing that you could do that introspection and understand and accept the differences in how people handle emotions based on where they are from and what they see while growing up❤️

I have actually noticed that people from certain backgrounds express emotions differently and it is really beautiful to witness. It is like there are some things in the west we get conditioned out of as we are growing up but in some cultures there is so much exposure to all types of people who are very directly connected to nature as a way of life and they just don't grow out of it. I noticed it in my family first but didn't think anything of it until I started watching the show Super Dancer and the judges would cry at certain things or ppl would do certain things that would NEVER happen in America. I still remember when everyone was crying because this kid was poor so his dad sold their cows so he could afford to travel to come audition and the producers found out and went and bought the dad's cows back for him. I got all teary myself and realized it was accessing this emotional part of me that was like long buried somewhere bc ppl in America have different ideas of what is normal in terms of boundaries like that like they probably just wouldn't do that. Even one kid cried bc her dad couldn't watch her dance on the show bc their family's tv broke and the producers bought him a TV. ... innocent things... somehow I feel it is absolutely connected to this concept of expressing emotions because like raw emotion is not so common here unless something really crazy happens but there it seems it is more like a real motivator in decision making. Being exposed to other cultures is really awesome bc we become aware of a lot of things about human experience that are common to man but only become visible to ourselves bc they show up in contrast to what we are used to.

Urvashi, (the mom) is a really fine actor. You should watch her in malayalam films. in the 80s with Mohanlal and others, she was a laugh riot. Love her.
Not just here but everywhere, we just dont talk enough about the fine female artists in the world.
