It has Kani Kusurti as one of the lead actresses. You saw her in Biriyaani.

Kamal Haasan came from theatre and hes the no1 "actor" in India currently but he does mass roles so naturally. Mammootty and Mohanlal both are not just superstars but Indias finest actors and they have done some dramas too. They don mass avtars perfectly. All these 3 are ahead of Manoj in acting too but they can do mass roles like cake walk. Nana Patekar can do mass roles nd he did too. What you need is screen presence,,dialogue delivery etc which Manoj has in plenty. If the makers did their part then he can excel. I wouldn't say the same about Nawaz or Pankaj.
