One of my top 5 Malayalam films from last 10 years. The sudden switch between comedy and drama make this a fantastic watch. Finally the life is all about birth and death. Btw, If you enjoyed the movie with those crappy subtitles, that says a lot about the movie! 😃 did you watch this in Einthusan? Because in India, it’s available in a lesser known OTT called SunNXT.

Judging from the comments you liked it so I will put this on my to watch list. I don't watch the watch alongs unless I have seen the movie already. (Obviously want my first time on a larger screen LOL) But these give me great recs for movies to look forward to. If I like the movie I will come back around and watch the watch along. Just commenting this to let you know that maybe there are more like me that don't watch the watch alongs, maybe a few more reviews scattered in would be good. (Not saying don't do the watch alongs, just don't forget to keep doing reviews too, those seem to have fallen by the wayside in favor of watch alongs) Not sure Korbin if your channel also has a goal of spreading the word to newbies or not, but just a thing to contemplate on how you balance things out.

Liked this film when I watched it first time but loved it as a watch along with you guys. Yes as Vishnu pointed out, the subs dont do justice. Also in the slang, most of Malayalees use sounds to make themselves understood, like aah and oohs and ahas that have no meaning unless seen/heard in context. This is very difficult to translate culturally. The juxtaposition of happiness and sorrow, of births and deaths and how its all interlinked, is so beautifully portrayed. Thank you for this reaction.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH INDUSTRY YOU REACT TO AS FAR AS ITS GOOD MOVIE . every industry has good, bad movies while malayalam movies are consistent followed by tamil then comes hindi followed by telugu then lastly kannada . 20 years back majority of my movies were english and hindi , 10 years back it was english and tamil now its malayalam 35%, english 35%, tamil 20%, hindi 10%. i dont watch watch telugu nor kannada . i watched few years back and i hated it . sometimes i watch bengali and japanese movies. so just watch you enjoy forget about what others have to say

The best part is.. it's his debut film.. I am proud to call Chidambaram my friend. It took him years to get to this stage and a lot of hurdles. All the accolades he is getting now is well deserved ...

In my point is just because I give a compliment to one industry doesn’t mean the other industries also don’t do that or are good. Just like when I say ARR defining characteristic as a composer is that he just makes great music. That’s not a slight at Ani or any other composer.
