2024-06-22 21:50:24 +0000 UTCSuriya and Jyotika are co-producing this film (Sarfira) along with Akshay's home production, since the original film was produced by Suriya and Jyotika. And also, this is an official remake and is directed by the same director (Sudha Kongara) that directed the original one in Tamil. I like Akshay in this role better than Suriya. Just like you guys, I did not connect well enough with the original film and at times I felt Suriya was exaggerating his performance. This film's plot fits Bollywood perfectly and you can already see the improvement with the actors choice, the music and the setup.

( yall didn’t know VJS as well then) I have a feeling that is going to be the case here too.. Akshay in your view gives grounded performances on real life stories ( your words) so you will probably walk into this movie wanting to give it a chance.. nevermind the fact that it’s the same story directed by the same director.. maybe the Hindi film cultural grammar and palate works for yall? Who knows let’s see the review if and when that happens 😬
