2024-08-18 03:33:40 +0000 UTCThe director Venkat Prabhu is probably the best director other than Lokesh Kanagraj that Vijay is working with in recent years. Venkat Prabhu is known to have very slick action, grey protagnist and fantastic chase sequences. His iconic cult classic Mankatha is one of the iconic early 2000's movies that really kickstarted slick action/editing and chase scenes not just in Tamil cinema but in all of Indian cinema. Another fun fact is that Pa Ranjith was a long time assistant to Venkat Prabhu and polished a lot of his craft under him. Venkat Prabhu is undergoing a dull phase in his last two movies so hoping he comes back to form with Vijay this time. Some people have said the movie is an interpretation of Gemini Man but they are intentionally keeping it under wrap Vijay's fans being similar to swifties is very accurate. It would be fascinating to see how it works out when he ventures into politics after his next to next movie and if he can actually use this stardom for something good. Something that both Kamal Hasan, and Amitabh Bachchan failed to do when they ventured into politics only for it to not go as they hoped.

The director's previous film 'Maanaadu' (which Korbin and Steph liked) is a very good film that touched on time loop and the director inspired by its huge success, is dabbling into another sci-fi based flick here. The director mentioned in a press meet today that Lola VFX (who did Deadpool and Wolverine) are the team behind the VFX of this film also. Hugely excited as these kind of films are not as much made in Indian cinema due to its budgets and its exciting that Indian films are now up there to spend the money needed to pull these off.... Hope you guys catch this in theaters!
