First time on Netflix then I got a copy of the full movie (with original 20 minutes that got cut) from a fan that pulled it together with subtitles (they called it the potato cut LOL) and I have to say the 20 minutes that got cut add so much to the emotional core. I really wish they kept that part in. I sobbed watching the Potato cut. Such a great film. I wish Netflix had the full original cut.

The director, who is a huge fan of Raja, frequently uses his songs in his film, even in 96, he used several of Raja’s songs . It’s not just Prem Kumar,many new-age directors in Tamil,Telugu and Malayalam use Ilayaraja music as a reference. If you want to convey something vintage or evoke the past in films, Ilaiyaraaja’s music is simply essential! 2024-10-31 08:45:17 +0000 UTCFyi…this is the edited version after the director decided to cut about 20min of the movie… for those who watched it in theatre on the opening week…saw the full movie… i hope we get the directors cut someday… i was fortunate to watch the uncut version… and i agree with Rick…it was my opinion as well that the movie could have just gone on for another hour and i would happily sit and watch these two Karthi and Arvind Swamy live these characters…. Amazing experience
