I think you guys will find it tough to enjoy any slapstick Hindi comedy movies.. but thats ok. Few people didnβt enjoy Stree2 as well π«£ I found most of the jokes forced .. some landed and some didnβt unlike Stree which was perfect!!

2024-09-12 20:49:52 +0000 UTCSo Rick finds actors' over the top reactions in comedy films not funny because no one reacts like this in real life! True....but these are not rooted true to life movies! I mean look at the plot. Their video player gets stolen with the CD containing footage of their wedding night in it and they have cops looking for it! That itself sets the tone right? Dumb and Dumber, There's something about Mary or Bridesmaids are all filled with over the top characters with overtly dramatic reactions to everything happening around them and yet they are funny because you watch them with a lens on - a lens of this is just silly comedy and it will be fun. You don't see characters or people reacting like these characters in real life. These Indian movies have the same feel. Yes I agree some comedies can fall flat due to boring plots but also many of these Indian movies do have cultural references, dialects that the characters are talking in (which Indian audiences find funny) and some jokes that don't translate well into another language. And these are valid reasons for being a bit unsure about missing the jokes or not finding a movie funny but to say that its this over the top acting/reacting not real to life reactions by the characters that turns you off is quite puzzling? There is a possibility that this movie might not be as funny as its hoping to be but would have to wait to see it before coming to that conclusion.

I'm actually not a fan of the comedy genre, I tend to also like subtle comedies and hate slapsticks, over the top comedies and physical comedies. Dreamgirl 2 is good, so it Good Newwz and also Luka chuppi as good comedies for you guys to consider
