Pithamagan is definitely worth a watch- for the performances, music, and the way in which director has explored delicate relationships. BUT it's far from perfect, and is even quite bit incoherent/ shrill at times. Sethu from the same director, and again has similar issues but worth watching for similar reasons too, and esp as part of Vikram's origin story. Mahaan is one film where Vikram had a really great role and script in recent times. And the one film that doesn't get talked about enough, is Bejoy Nambiar's David. The film itself is ok. BUT whaaaaat a delightful perofrmance Vikram has given! You can just see him letting go and having so much fun AND he's "paired" up with none other than Tabu! Great songs too! What's not to love! When you watch David, watch the Hindi version. That was the original. Tamil was dubbed.
