You guys mostly spoke about positives for a movie you didn’t quite enjoyed, the only negative is that it was too complicated? I thought they explain everything at the end! Which is what worked really well for me in this movie, everything came together at the end. Granted it’s been a while I saw it.

But I do feel you would appreciate it more if you had some idea about Bengal’s geo-socio & political scene of that time. Regardless, i am glad that you could see the potential it had and the effort gone behind reflected in the final product for you. Anirban is an exceptional talent. An actor, singer, director. He also recites poetry. He’s not new to films though. Some of his films as an actor that you could check out are: Dhananjoy Dwitiyo Purush Ghawrey Bairey Aaj Vinci Da (in a side role but it’s a great film overall. Also features Ritwick Chakraborty from Nagarkirtan) You could also watch the web series Mandaar (Bengali adaptation of Macbeth - you already reacted to its trailer) at some point. I think this was his directorial debut if I am not wrong. Next Bengali film that you should watch - undoubtedly Bhooter Bhabishyat (spooky dramedy). This would be a super fun watch along fs. Whenever you decide to watch it, expect something along the lines of Ballabhpurer Roopkatha.
