I think when Singham was made, they didn't know what Simbaa was gonna look like or if that script was even made. Not to say that Rohit Shetty hasn't totally thought of everything -- I think its possible he came up with this film's idea, back when he made Simbaa or even Akshay's Sooryavanshi but I think Singham was its own thing that blew up and then he wanted to expand on it. Even Singham 1 and 2 are so different from each other and the popularity grew for the franchise after Singham 2. It makes sense Ajay is the equiv of Ram in his story since he's the OG Rohit Shetty Hero and first character of this "universe". and yes it totally makes sense that Ranveer's Simbaa character is like Hanuman serving Ram. Hanuman tends to be naive, innocent, very loyal & strong (like we saw in Bajrangee Bhaijaan with SK). I think y'all should watch Simbaa even if you don't watch the other movies. Its a good one-time watch and slightly less cringy unlike Sooryavanshi (IMO) and it gives you more context. Now what doesn't make sense is Tiger Shroff being like Lakshmann -- I mean, where did he even come from? But I suppose you have to invest in younger actors too if you want to keep the franchise going!
