Korbin - the problem with "putting it out of humans when it comes to judging decisions based on rules" is - it eats up a lot of time and games will take forever to complete if we go down that route! Thats why umpires also need as much skills to do their job on the field. Cricket these days has DRS (Decision Review System) where an umpire's decision can be challenged twice per batting team. If the umpire's decision is upheld by the technology conclusively, the batting team loses that review. If it's inconclusive, the umpire's decision stays and the batting team keeps their review. If there's conclusive evidence against the umpire's decision, the decision is overturned and the batting team keeps their review.

The "judge" or "referee" is called an Umpire in cricket.. And yes Korbin, for situations where they cannot see or determine for sure, they pass the judgment onto the people who can use the technology... It's called a "3rd Umpire decision".. it's not left to human error.. Also, if the umpire doesn't give it to 3rd umpire, the players can themselves ask for it 3 times in a game..

There is replays for lbw, if the bowler appeals and umpire gives it not out they can challenge that decision and it shows then on the screen digitally if the bowl was tracking down the middle

You can challenge the LBW decision in cricket. Both teams have 3 reviews maximum. Also if it hits the leg before hitting the bat he can be LBW. But if it hits the bat before the leg, LBW is ruled out
