So as someone mentioned, Dhabush and Silambrasan (Simbu) used to be competitors, they started their acting career around the same time. Over the years, Dhanush grew away ahead of Simbu so it doesn’t really make sense to to say that they are still competitors but for Tamil audience it’s big to see Simbu in the world of Vadachennai.

You’ve watched Vada Chennai, Visaranai (The police interrogation movie you gave platinum), Asuran and Viduthalai. Nelson has done a special cameo here. He features here as a director who wants to make a film on an original gangster. So the gangster is narrating him the story. The glimpses are from one of the murders he committed during the same timeline and world of Vada Chennai. No other resemblances to vada chennai as of now
