BTW, I've always wanted to understand who Mohanlal is as a person. Prakash Varma's/George sir's observations of Mohanlal are some of the most astute I've come across. He is a very intelligent guy, and I mean exceptionally intelligent, think that's why he was able to play the villain effortlessly. But if you're referring to some of the unemployed rabid 'Mohanlal fans' who like massy movies, the rest of us watch them warily like you would rabid strays that are roaming outside. But we can't do much about them. Even Mohanlal is a bit wary of his own 'fans', I've observed. They deliberately tanked LJP's wonderful but imperfect Mohanlal movie which will go on to be a classic.

But I’m surprised to see that you actually liked it. Now I’m not sure whether you’d like Thanmathra, since most people in the comments say they love it, but I feel you might not enjoy it because of the melodrama. Then again, maybe you guys would like it. who knows!
