The moment she raised her hand in the first season, the whole world thought she was going to slap the protagonist.
But instead, she just patted his sleeve and lightly scolded him—that was the moment I fell in love with Rikka Takarada.
However, after finishing the first season, I can’t say I truly understood this anime.
The story and the battles weren’t the issue; the problem was that Rikka’s screen time was far too limited, and most of the time, she was just standing on the sidelines watching.
Because of this, it took me a long time to watch the second season (mainly for Mujina). I had heard that Rikka didn’t appear, so I didn’t have high expectations, but after watching it, I was surprised to find that the second season was one of the best anime I’ve seen in recent years.
It had the most realistic atmosphere, the richest characters, and the best dialogue I’ve ever encountered in anime.
I’ve always regretted that Rikka didn’t appear in such an incredible series and get the screen time she deserved—until I watched GRIDMAN UNIVERSE.
This movie is perfect.
