2023-11-04 02:19:12 +0000 UTC@Miss_CJ it looks like they are appreciated by DCC, except for a solo career they are all « all in » in Dreamcatcher adventures for our benefit and their’s. Handong and Gahyeon had to catch up quickly (only 6 months of training) they had few lines (Siyeon sung Handong’s line in Chase Me). 2023-07-09 21:40:30 +0000 UTCFor me I think it was the trio JiU, Yoohyeon and Siyeon mainly because of the MVs (especially early ones). JiU, as visual, and Yoohyeon, as lead vocalist and visual, are often the ones to play the story, so we see them MUCH more than other members. And we hear Siyeon a lot for her vocals as the main vocalist. In general, I find that Kpop groups take the "roles" of the members a bit too seriously. Some members don't get to shine because of that. Like what's the point of having so many members if some of them are being "neglected"? I think Dreamcatcher had that problem in the early years but I'm so glad they decided to distribute the lines in a more fair fashion with time, and acknowledging each member is talented and deserves to shine during MVs as well. Live stages must've been really hard for Siyeon and Yoohyeon in the early years as they sung almost 50% of the song on their own. In my opinion, Kpop roles should only be a base thing and not something a member is bound to in EVERY single song. Chase me and Goodnight are very good songs, and I listen to them here and there but I never felt as attached to the songs as the most recent ones where every member gets to sing and actually feel like a part of the group. This is why I love DC company so much and how they listen to the members, trying to make them happy. The fact every member decided to renew their contract just reassures they are happy and being treated well. 🥰🥰 Anyways, that was a bit of a long comment 😅🤣
