This was such a fun episode! To answer your question, not all padded coats are the same. A good down-filled coat is SO warm. I don't prefer the fur trim on the hoods, because my breath would freeze on it, and then I have ice around my face. Obviously the kind of coat that you're comfortable in is best for you.
