Now I miss Ilhoon moreeeee. 😭 makes me randomly looked back during his trials and we were all anxiously waiting for the outcome. 😭 this song ,i believe, still the best in showcasing the greatness in BtoB - vocal, rap , dance and acting wise. Still bitter about the fact that this never got any music show win, but despite that, this song is one of their most well loved song. 💙

2023-10-04 17:04:41 +0000 UTCAnother thing pat, KPOP in general, when performed live have these systems called 'AR' and 'MR'. As kpop idols have hardcore choreography, their vocals which are already recorded is playing small in the background as groups perform live. That is why you can sometimes almost hear as if two people are singing at once in some bits. It has become an issue lately in some younger kpop groups, they are almost lipsyncing and only dancing because their MR are so loud. This could be due to the company making their MR louder, or them just asking for the sound mechanics to do that as their choreo is too aggressive or they are not confident in singing. The better and experienced a group is live, the smaller their MR is until it’s to the point you can only hear the song and the raw vocals. And note that they even engineer a lot of groups' live singing voices before a music bank, inkigayo etc music show performance is uploaded too. This is something I think might be best if you know if you like Kpop. hahah I hope I am not blabbing to you about something you know. Personally, I think the two top groups out of all the active groups in current KPOP, are BTOB and Mamamoo. Those two groups basically don’t have backing tracks at all, and their live performances sound THE SAME as their CDs. Also, as their songs are extremely focused on vocals. With ballads, or less dancing. If you actually notice here, due to the sound issue, BTOB was singing PURE LIVE with no vocal tracks in the second video. THIS SONG is incredibly difficult with pretty powerful dancing, and BTOB was only a 3 year old group back then. When I first saw this video, I was shocked to the point I was horrified. Horrified at the fact they voluntarily produced this difficult song and performed it themselves and with no backing tracks at ALL. I mean I knew BTOB never had any backing tracks, but this was some next level thing. I think that stage is to go down in KPOP history. Also, I really love your reactions, you are so genuine, kind and respectful, and that beautiful love of yours for authentic, good music just makes it a cherry on top. Thank you so much!!!

2023-06-03 15:24:42 +0000 UTCIlhoon is such a charismatic person not just during performance but also in variety shows. He was convicted for marijuana use and is still in probi. We do not know if he will still continue showbizness (as a producer or a singer) but if he does, Melody will still be supporting. Hyunsik was described before as the person who develops muscles just by breathing. He's that cool and hot boy in the group and he's the main dancer too. I can still rememember their wet pictures during Thriller era and he has a very profound body and with his styling before, he was vey sexy. He's the strongest in the group too, physically and heirarchly(?). I can still remember his mesh top in It's Okay ( imaging an inspiring ballad song but could slightly see the abs of the person singing) I love their theatre-like songs because they'd be so dramatic on stage especially Sungjae and Eunkwang. Just like this song, they'd be acting while dancing and singing as if they hadn't been goofy during rehearsals on stages. The second live stage was a little disappointing to fans and the members too. Sungjae was pissed off by the mics' low volume than the music. It happens on live stages, it understandable but the entrance was so epic it kinda ruined the epicness. They could have sounded better if the mics were good. I would suggest to go with solos by age but I think you're too excited for Hyunsik. Haha... You can do whoever you want. You will still be delighted with every member that you'll react to.

Ilhoon only made a mistake once because he had a problem but he has always been a loving and caring person to everyone. It's just sad that people were so hard on him when the news came out when he only did it because he had a problem and was having a hard time. They're treating him as if he killed someone or got someone involved yet there are other celebrities who'd done worse in Korea but are still roaming around. And because of the huge backlash, he decided to leave the group so he wouldn't affect their group's reputation. But don't worry, there are tons of hints of him still being on their gc and even btob themselves reacts positively whenever they see a fan holding a seven member banner. Even Eunkwang still has their portrait with all 7 of them on his house. Changsub and Peniel also held up a 7 hand sign during their first concert without him but obviously they got a lot of hate for that so they stopped publicly mentioning him but they always try to do it secretly through hints. They also like teasing about Ilhoon on some of their posts. For example when Eunkwang posted a photo of him with Changsub, Minhyuk, and Peniel on ig and they were posing in front of a glassed shelf so you could see their reflections but on the last photo he took a photo of an angel statue displayed on the shelf and he captioned it like "Sungjae, Hyunsik hurry up. Feat. Finding the hidden member on the last picture." pertaining to the angel statue since Ilhoon's nickname is angel. There was also a time when they were promoting as btob 4U subunit. And they were being interviewed in music bank and they were asked to say a message to the members who are in the military, Changsub accidentally included Ilhoon's name to the members. He said Sungjae, Ilhoon ah there are only 2 months left blah blah blah and it seems like he didn't notice that he said his name but you can see Minhyuk and Eunkwang's reaction to the side and after Changsub was done speaking, Eunkwang immediately corrected it and said Sungjae and Hyunsik lol. Their brotherhood is really one of the best in kpop and it just makes sense that they can't cut off ways with Ilhoon especially that he's been with them for more than 10 years. Heck, the members practically raised Ilhoon and Sungjae as the youngest members of the group. Ilhoon seems to be doing really well now tho Ig he's already done with his counseling. Even some Korean melodies are starting to accept him again since there are a lot of Korean comments on his ig posts saying that they missed him. There was even a time when they performed in an event last year and some melodies included Ilhoon's name on the fanchant🥺

2023-06-03 05:05:04 +0000 UTCIlhoon got 3 years of probation at the end of 2021 for possession (all prior to 2019) As an international fan it can be hard since smoking weed is a fairly small deal in a lot of places but South Korea is still very strict about it. I do hope he gets back into music if he wants to, it would be a loss for the industry if he didn't.

2023-06-03 04:03:06 +0000 UTCI feel like the comments have answered this already, but yeah… Ilhoon had to leave because of a marijuana scandal since it is very illegal in South Korea. There was no talk of him being forced to leave the group, he chose to withdraw from BTOB and, knowing Ilhoon, he did it to protect the members from backlash. He has served his sentence and also completed his military time (to my knowledge, fellow Melody, correct me if wrong, please!). He posts on his Instagram with travel updates once in a while, but no news yet if he plans to do solo stuff or even return to the entertainment industry. But he is always with Melody and BTOB in our hearts 💙 I still get tearful because I've been with them since the beginning and he is such a lovely human that deserves the world!

2023-06-03 03:49:35 +0000 UTCon another note, i share the same feeling as you about hyunsik. he is my bias wrecker for 7 years now. he is really very dangerous 😂 for the solo albums, changsub’s was my favorite because i liked his genre, but all albums were written to perfection it’s actually difficult to pick a favorite but i suggest you do hyunsik’s last ‘coz you’d probably die listening to it 😂

2023-06-03 03:33:30 +0000 UTCwhy ilhoon left is probably the only question melodies don’t know how to answer. because it’s a painful memory (both for btob and melodies) and tbh deep inside we still haven’t moved on from what happened. not that the current btob is lacking in any way (very far from that), but it’s really hard to move on from something you’re so used to seeing and believing. i’d like to think he left to protect the group but i’m still hoping someday, when the time is right, they will be 7 again. thank you so much for reacting to their videos 💙
