i dont know if you watched them during the album reaction but there are special MVs ("Live Videos") out for Je T'aime, Day By Day, If Only, and Happy Birthday To You. the only one without one is Be There For You, but there is a 60 second prolouge/teaser clip video for it

Joys hello is actually a popular meme! where its someone in a karaoke room and Hello starts play and a guy yells "OH FUCK ITS IN KOREAN" and then starts yelling it out perfectly. so its funny how you compared it to a karaoke song!

I agree about her doing an original project. Joy is truly an RnB lover.

I remember a lot of other idols covering this song when it came out

Hello was quite successful in Korea, despite rather spare promotions! It charted extremly well (even beating out BTS's newly released Butter on one chart!) and didn't leave the real-time charts for weeks. Koreans have always loved her voice, and Hello was the perfect song to pick up one's mood. SM actually didn't want to have the album to have an official title track with MV, probably only wanted to drop it digitally and call it a day. But Joy fought for Hello as the title track, believing in it's message.
Day by Day (also my favorite from the album!) was a song she used to sing a lot as a trainee, so it holds a lot of memories for her. This and Hello were the songs she personally suggested for the album. Considering her personal music taste, I feel like her actual debut with original songs would be more along the lines of Day by Day.
