I always want a bourbon neat and a cigarette when I watch a Mad Men episode. This episode takes place in 1960. Mad Men spans 10.5 years from 1960 to 1970. The Korean War (1950-1953) took place between World War II and the Vietnam War. US military intervention in Vietnam didn't really get going until 1965.
