Weekly update #27 - state of animation

Hey all,

A quick status update to give you guys some progress info on the work regarding animation.

I've been messing around with Live2D whole week, and polished the animation on the illustration I preview last week. This requires a bunch of work : I had to redraw and relayer the eyes, the hair and the male parts for instance.

Hair does look a bit better but it's a lot of work for minimal visual impact, especially since my animations are pretty basic for now. I'm on a physics-based approach which at least is a bit handier than having to manually craft all the keyframes. I just have to layer my parts, rig them, input some deformation states and link them to some physics-based randomized inputs.

I can then play around with the speed of all the different animated parts; also for now, everything pretty much moves simultaneously but I could sequence it differently. My idea for short term however is to craft some looping animated frames, something that would play indefinitely until the player skips to the next frame, so I think it works pretty well like that.

I will also try to work on fluids, because it's a critical part missing here! I do have them on still illustrations but it might get trickier with animation.

I'm still working on the whole layering/redrawing/rigging part of the next illustrations though, so I don't have a pretty, polished looking preview to show you guys yet.

This might end up being a bit more work than anticipated so it's likely that not all illustrations I had planned for this update (there's a bunch) will be animated at release.

Thank you guys for your patience and support, a lot is going on right now but I think it's for the best and the quality of the scenes will end up being worth it.
