60 Minute Full Body Roll with Deep Pinky Ball Work

Hey Buds!

Welcome to this week's Roll class--in addition to our fave rollers, we're using two tennis balls/pinky balls/lacrosse balls in this class for our upper back, pecs and hips.

I've noticed some newbies around here lately and I want to say that this is a great class for you to start your rolling practice with and WELCOME! Here's what's inside this class:

- feet

- quadriceps

- glutes

- hips

- lateral line stretch

- lats/ribcage

- rotator cuff

- upper traps and neck

- deep dig into pecs

- deep dig into hip flexors

- deep dig into upper back

Some of you may have noticed that my playlist called "Quiet Roll" has gone dark. It was a beautiful, instrumental and ambient playlist that was reported for violations, which means we can't access it anymore.

Thankfully there are a couple other playlists here on my website AND, our friend Lori Smith just shared this super sweet playlist called Dreamy Forest Music. I'm listening to it now as I type this and it's lovely. Think peaceful piano mixed with nature sounds. Thank you, Lori!

Feel free to comment with what YOU like to roll to!

Enjoy this class, friends.

Love,

Maggie

My pleasure! How are you feeling today?

Maggie Valentino

Thank you so much for this explanation!

Oh, Melissa! Thank you for such a great question and I’m also so happy you liked the class! The answer is YES this is super normal, especially when performing deeper work. The nausea you feel after a rolling sesh is most likely caused by the deep tissue work accelerating the disposal of metabolic waste via the lymphatic system.

I really enjoyed this class. I am new to foam rolling and I noticed I felt a little nauseous afterwards. Is that normal when first starting to foam roll?
