Half year report

I think it would be wise to make a report now that we have covered half-year.

For starters, let's talk about the work we have done from January 1st to June 30th. 

This year, as I explained at the beggining of the year we had a bunch of objectives in mind. To date, the biggest objectives for the year are already completed. The current work we have released this year is as follows:

-6 Hamtaro episodes.
-3 Hamtaro revamped episodes.
-8 Jewelpet episodes.
-The first version of the Jewelpet movie.

Therefore, we have already completed the goal of making 6 hamtaro episodes and 6 jewelpet episodes. I want to thank Kristopher and Whippu for their respective hard work, without them this could not have been possible.

Last month, June, we didn't release any Hamtaro episode. We have been working on fixing the download links (as this post goes live, another post on tumblr and the website should be discussing this) and spending the "subbing time" only on Jewelpet, mainly because it is a team work and it is easier than subbing Hamtaro.

During this half a year I played with Aegisub, learnt how to make some effects, learnt -more or less- how karaoke effects work... I can say I have learnt quite a lot this year, after being "glued" to Divxland for so many years lol

I am very happy with the pace we have now, and I hope we can keep it. Summer and the second half of the year is usually more heavy with work and "life" in general, because I will be spending a lot of evenings at the pool and then work gets heavy to get ready for Christmas sales. But we will do our best.

Now, let's talk about the second part of the year. Naturally, we have to update our objectives;

-Sub 4 Hamtaro episodes.
-Sub 8 Jewelpet Sunshine episodes.
-Revamp 4 previously translated Hamtaro episodes.
-Revamp at least 2 of the Hamtaro movies and 2 of the OVAs.
-Study the possibility of subbing other series related to the “kodomo” group.
-If a new Hamtaro series shows up, translate it in the shortest time possible as a full-fledged sub team would do.
-Try to create a “stream event” where we subtitle live.
-Promote Patreon and Ko-Fi more to increase our patrons.
-Create a specific website, outside of Ham-Ham Paradise, for Paradise Hamsubs.

This is a restart, so basically, 4 more Hamtaro episodes, 8 more Jewelpet Sunshine, 4 more revamped Hamtaro episodes... and we stick with the movies. We erased the batch torrent since we already did it (and we will do it again next year) and kept everything else, although they're very low priority objectives.

The reason to diminish the Hamtaro work and increase the Jewelpet is because in order to focus on the movies and OVAs, I will have to take time out of working on episodes. I will still be fulfilling the patron goal of making a revamp episode by releasing the movies and OVAs so that's covered. 

And for the Jewelpet episodes... we already have some unannounced work done as we speak (no spoilers hehe) so we have some backlog to cover and we can focus on new episodes, so it should be easy to complete. Hopefully we can finish the season this year, but I don't want to make promises on that regard, so we will stick with the proposed objective.
