End of year report

Hello! First of all, we at Paradise Hamsubs would like to wish you a Happy New Year! This is not only the start of a new year, but a new decade too! Paradise Hamsubs is officially ten years old now, and we have done so much and improved so much during this time!

As we did at the half of last year, here is a report of what we accomplished in the whole 2019:
-11 Hamtaro episodes.
-6 Hamtaro revamped episodes.
-19 Jewelpet episodes.
-The definitive version of the Jewelpet movie. 

Overall, we think it was a really profitable year. We started the Jewelpet Sunshine project this year and thanks to the diligent work of Whippu, most of the season is finished. Only 3 episodes are left to be translated (we count sneak peeks as translated eps), so we should be done pretty soon.  And we somewhat managed to push a bunch of Hamtaro episodes too, we think the revamp episodes project was a good choice because it's easy to do and doesn't take much time.

We also finished the definitive edition of the Jewelpet movie. André learnt a lot this year, specially on the matter of karaoke making, and .ass effects, but also on vocabulary and how to work with Aegisub as a whole.

We failed to work on OVAs and movies, but with all that we have learnt this year we can tackle that next one for sure!

Our patreon has seen a steady increase of patrons and we are absolutely thankful to everyone that supports us, no matter the ammount! We are very honored to have you aboard and we will think of more ways to show that we care about your support.

Our only problem is that we are still searching for timers. It is not the most shiny position but it is vital to the whole fansub effort. We would appreciate it if any of you want in!

Now, let's discuss 2020 objectives. We will rescue last year objectives and improve them:
-Sub 10 Hamtaro episodes.
-Sub the Hiragana and Shape and Numbers Hamtaro specials.
-Sub the remaining Jewelpet Sunshine episodes.
-Sub the original Jewelpet season, starting from episode 1.
-Revamp 8 previously translated Hamtaro episodes.
-Revamp at least 1 of the Hamtaro movies and 1 of the OVAs.
-Study the possibility of subbing other series related to the “kodomo” group.
-If a new Hamtaro series shows up, translate it in the shortest time possible as a full-fledged sub team would do.
-Try to create a “stream event” where we subtitle live.
-Promote Patreon and Ko-Fi more to increase our patrons.
-Create a specific website, outside of Ham-Ham Paradise, for Paradise Hamsubs. 

We have improved the number of episodes to be translated and revamped, but lowered by 1 the number of movies and OVAs, the karaoke takes an awful ammount of time and we don't want to go overboard. And we have added the two hiragana specials and the shapes and numbers specials to our list. André has on his personal list finally learnt to read hiragana and katakana, so hopefully this will be a good exercise for him!

We have added the original Jewelpet season to our projects. But we have not specified any number of episodes, that is because this project will have a low priority given the lack of timers. 

And the rest is low priority projects inherited from last year.

Regarding the Hamtaro revamped episodes, the plan is to start with the Djungarian belt saga, which is 4 episodes long, becausewe recently noticed that we subbed them... and we don't remember doing so. So even if they're not the oldest subs available, we'll give them priority.

That should be all! We hope 2020 is even better than 2019 for our team!
