Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to figure out a good way to talk about gear for a long time. I think youtube channels that review gear are awesome and I love gear. I really love gear. Probably too much... anyhow...
I think what is usually missing from the gear conversation is WHY you need any particular piece of gear. What does it mean to "need" a piece of gear vs "wanting" that gear? This isn't such a simple thing to explain, so I think I'm going to make an effort to explain it through a series of videos with the tag "Gear, Goals, and Workflow."
This is mainly a tour of my pedalboard, but its also a demonstration of my "Gear, Goals, and Workflow" mentality. That formula is pretty simple: If you start with a goal, there is probably gear that helps you accomplish that goal. Your workflow is something you develop over time as you discover your own preferences for how to reach your goals. Different people prefer different workflows to achieve their own goals.
I'd like to make more videos around the concept of "Gear, Goals, and Workflow" - would you like that?
