Hi Everyone,
In this lesson, I'm listening to "Any Road" by George Harrison for the first time and showing you my process to figure out a song by ear.
This song has some cool concepts covered in my Music Theory for Guitar II series and some cool theory stuff I haven't talked about before. I hope you enjoy!

2025-05-17 23:29:06 +0000 UTCNice song choice! I'm a huge Beatles fan and have always loved George's music. His arrangements and chord choices have always been a little odd and interesting. Think Old Brown Shoe, or Beware of Darkness. I saw an interview with his son Dhani years ago. He talked about his father's chord choice and said that George talked about the use of what he called "The Naughty Chords". Funny. I think it's worth mentioning that the solos on this song were all played with a slide. At least as far as I can tell. Thanks again Scott for another great video. These are very informative.

2025-05-14 11:35:16 +0000 UTCI can't remember, but my guess would be that the bend was from the 6th note of the scale to the flat 7th note of the scale. I can double check, but that seems like the only plausible answer.
