2023-08-03 16:56:23 +0000 UTCHi Scott. I forgot another question I had. Whenever I play riffs with the amp up, I always hear noise when I move finger positions. I know there is muting, but how can you mute after every note in a solo when there is a fast or up tempo beat. Do the other instruments in the band help drown out the noise? Or is it that I am listening to music that is highly edited?

Although some people just say learn the notes on the low E and A strings and then learn shapes. As long as you know where your root not is, you’re fine. What are the advantages of knowing every note?
