Hi Everyone,
Join me this FRIDAY for the 152nd weekly live Q&A.
If the above link isn’t working for you, here is a link to watch directly on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxzNty06OU8
Here's how it works: bring your questions to the comments below, the community forum, or save them for the live chat.* Questions can be about anything you want - guitar technique, music theory, gear, songwriting - your choice! Also, feel free to link a video of you playing if you have a technique question!
I'll do my best to answer your questions and give examples of how you can practice developing skills related to your question.
Keep in mind, you can always watch later if you can't make it live! Check back a few hours after the stream for a numbered list of each question and a timestamped link to each answer.
*Please note: you may need a youtube/gmail account to ask questions in the live stream, but you can watch without one.

Hi Scott, just wanted to thank you very much for answering my Q and providing a demonstration. It was REALLY helpful and I can now get the sound I was looking for pretty much consistently . Thank you 😀🙏

2024-04-20 20:28:40 +0000 UTCHey Scott! I love your lessons and how you teach, I’ve had your classes for not even a month now and I’ve already learned so much! But I was wondering if it would be possible to post your jam tracks from YouTube onto here?

2024-03-12 21:22:28 +0000 UTCHi Scott, Emma here from Scotland. I too need to watch later as it’s right on dinner time here. Can you demonstrate pinch harmonics and also the natural harmonics on the open strings.. and when would you use this technique when playing? I was wondering if you could demonstrate how to do this finger style as well , as I don’t really use a plectrum often. I’ve been practising away on this, and would like to see if I’m on the right track. :) Thank you

2024-03-08 17:15:32 +0000 UTCQuestion from Darko: Hi Scott, Darko here from Slovenia EU. If you answer I will watch it later due to the time difference. Can you show or explain how it works, combining or adding short baselines during chord strumming or at the end of progression.... For instance, 4/4: D, G, D, A. How would you spice it up as a guitarist, playing solo, no band. Just campfire songs. Second question I currently have only a classical guitar and I am learning your material, do you think I should get an acoustic guitar or doesn’t matter? All the best.
Scott Paul Johnson
