Join me for a live Community Challenge!
Its been a while since I posted one of these, and I think I'd like to get back into the groove of posting these regularly.
If you're not familiar, Community Challenges are a way for you, Patrons, to practice actually using the theory and technique stuff you're learning around here! In my opinion, the single BEST WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING OF GUITAR is to learn how to write music.
Community Challenges are designed to have a SUPER low barrier to entry. You don't need to write a masterpiece, you don't need to play outside your comfort zone, you don't need to even make something you like. It's just about TRYING. Because thats how you get good at writing music. You just keep trying, tinkering, sketching, pondering, and trying again.
This challenge is pretty straightforward - Write something using only single notes - that means no strumming, no playing more than one note at a time. There are a variety of fun ways to interpret this and I'll go over it in the video. I hope you can join!
Post your single note creations to this community forum post.
