2021-09-17 00:20:33 +0000 UTCThis could be FYI and it's super random, but after rewatching it with you guys I just noticed that in 32:25ish, when they were in the corrupted lawyer’s office, and when Vincenzo was talking about hypocrisy, the painting shown is actually a part of a mural--Kiss of Judas, by an Italian painter called Giotto. In the painting, Judas was kissing Jesus, so that the police and the elders would recognize which one is Jesus. Jesus was arrested because Judas identified Jesus with that kiss. It’s kinda symbolic and matches the context of that scene, because we often associate kissing with affection, friendship, and love, but Judas was not doing it out of affection but was actually betraying Jesus through such an act. So it’s a form of hypocrisy--betrayal and malice masked behind what appears to be friendly and harmless. I just love these symbolisms and tiny details (also one of the reasons why I love bts music/music videos XD).
