Added 2018-05-20 18:59:36 +0000 UTCThis was going to be a 2 hour podcast but I killed half of it.

I did the exact same thing before going to see infinity war -watching Thor Ragnarok, in Mac Donald’s, looking like a right idiot
2018-06-26 17:04:03 +0000 UTCAlso I don't listen for a month to avoid spoilers and you answer my comments? You tease
Narmatonia
2018-06-13 22:40:38 +0000 UTCSPOLERS: I could totally have faith that the deaths would be permanent, if not for S and BP, one has a sequel confirmed and one made a wankton of money. Perhaps some of the old guard sacrifice themselves to bring a few of the losses (those two at least) back somehow, we can keep the weight of all that death without torpedoing future movies

2018-06-13 22:32:36 +0000 UTCI don't have netflix...

2018-05-29 20:03:12 +0000 UTCTHEORY: You're writing (or at least co-writing) the next Ashens and the Quest for the GameChild film. You said you were involved waaay back and its something that you could write then can definitely get made

2018-05-25 22:05:22 +0000 UTCListen to amy poehlers audiobook i think itll give you a good idea of what to aim for its just her and her friends in her house. also always remember like 45% of people have mental health probs

2018-05-25 16:33:01 +0000 UTCWhat do you think about the count dankula verdict, guilty with a £800 fine?
DapperCyborg
2018-05-25 03:03:57 +0000 UTCAlso my name is a reference to Irish mythology not wrestling ( I am not an Irish giant but I am six foot four and still growing so who knows what might happen)
Finn McCool
2018-05-24 20:27:45 +0000 UTCHi Dan. A comedian recommendation of you, Billy T James, he is probably the best New Zealand comedian of all time. NZ comedy is a bit different and not for everyone but if you liked the type of jokes in Thor Ragnarock you might like it.
Finn McCool
2018-05-24 20:17:10 +0000 UTCHey dan! What do you think of Hamilton?
2018-05-23 20:42:43 +0000 UTCI want every other week
2018-05-23 19:43:19 +0000 UTCI'm getting a puppy next week and wondered if Rebecca (or you) had any tips on training them? Matilda and Regan seem so well behaved!
deadduck456
2018-05-23 13:24:40 +0000 UTCSo Captain Marvel's gonna play a big part of the next Infinity War film, but on the point of parallel universes; because Fox has made a deal, I feel like we may see the Fantastic Four in the next one.
2018-05-23 01:54:44 +0000 UTCHey Dan! Been really enjoying catching up on the podcasts and all that. Just wondering if you could discuss Subsurface Circular (even though I'm pretty sure you liked it) and Mike Bithell's new game while your at it. Cheers!
Haxosaurus
2018-05-22 23:36:08 +0000 UTCI think a combination of this talky stuff and some actual content would be good
Aaron Place
2018-05-22 19:13:10 +0000 UTCDan, how are you finding 30 Rock now you’re more into it? It took me about a season and a bit to fully start enjoying the show mainly I think because it took me a while to get used to the style and weirdness of the show. Also, have you watched any more Atlanta now it’s on iPlayer?
Felix James Knight
2018-05-22 10:39:25 +0000 UTCAfter you mentioned it in the music section in the end I listened to Supertramps best of album. And god damn. You were Bloody Well Right. They’re awesome. Which made me wonder, have you thought about doing a rundown of your favourite music artists or albums?
Conor Finn
2018-05-22 08:55:00 +0000 UTCAll my yes to an audio book. Also Matilda <3
Powerjugs
2018-05-22 08:54:29 +0000 UTCA low-key audio book would be perfect, I'm thinking it would essentially be like the foot notes in that there was the stuff you wanted to say but it just doesn't fit the theme
2018-05-22 04:27:12 +0000 UTCA drawn picture from Rebecca for an expensive tier for the book
2018-05-22 02:23:15 +0000 UTCI would like it if you would switch up the theme of the podcasts from week to week. One week do the rambling, talky kind and the next do a themed one and just switch back and forth. Also I love the audiobook idea!
Taylor Jones
2018-05-22 01:10:59 +0000 UTChave you seen remnants of naezith? its an amazing game that not too many people have seen. if you like n++ or super meat boy you will probably like this game!
2018-05-22 00:42:29 +0000 UTCI'd love to have the lowkey audiobook. That's exactly the kind of thing I'd want to pay more money for. Also, what's your opinion on Horrible Histories? Also also, you do quite a good job of pronouncing my name. It literally means iron-rich (Eisen=iron, reich=rich).
Stefan Eisenreich
2018-05-21 23:34:46 +0000 UTCInteresting thing you may not have noticed in infinity war - doctor strange says "it was the only way", implying that when he looked into the future, the one scenario where they win means losing that battle. Thoughts?
Stan Gaskell
2018-05-21 22:44:52 +0000 UTCThe lowkey audiobook I think is exactly on point for Dan's style. I would spend money on it.
Evelyn
2018-05-21 22:12:42 +0000 UTCI love the idea of the audiobook
Matthew Penman
2018-05-21 21:52:21 +0000 UTCYou said last week to choose between list-y podcasts or theme-y podcasts. I vote both! I like it when you dropped in the Top 10 TV Moments, but I really like the majority being this beautiful ramble-y bumf.
FlamingYeti
2018-05-21 20:55:21 +0000 UTCSeconded!
Patrick Jackson
2018-05-21 18:33:05 +0000 UTCDan! I know I've asked this before, but do you know if you'll be going to CoxCon for sure this year?
2018-05-21 17:55:06 +0000 UTCDefinitely talky things, do those content things as videos and it'll be great, love everything you do Dan
Max Tal
2018-05-21 17:15:09 +0000 UTCI would enjoy a themed podcast one week and then a regular podcast the next. That way it's a nice mix between content and regular updates on how you are doing.
Isaac Rodriguez
2018-05-21 16:30:34 +0000 UTCPlease keep the patreon podcasts chatty and wittery.
Douglas Hodgson
2018-05-21 16:23:29 +0000 UTCHi Dan sorry I know I'm asking a second question and it's kinda unfair but my girlfriend has just been prescribed antidepressants for anxiety like you and I was wondering if you could tell us which you're taking so that if it's the same as hers (sertraline) I can try just to bear in mind the stuff you've said when trying to help and support her. Thank you
William Newing
2018-05-21 16:20:55 +0000 UTCI'm fine with themed podcasts. Possibly every other week.
Dylan Parry
2018-05-21 16:03:09 +0000 UTCHi Dan. This is my first comment! How are you enjoying the new series of taskmaster?
2018-05-21 14:55:07 +0000 UTCOoh! Super excited for the Star Trek Bridge Crew Collab!
Patrick Jackson
2018-05-21 14:21:23 +0000 UTCHey Dan, have you checked our project high-rise? It's a creative management strategy.. I feel like that's enough to peak your interest
2018-05-21 13:40:28 +0000 UTCWhat ever happened to having dubstep at the end of your videos? If I remember correctly you only used it on the video back (Simpsons Tapped out slide show)
2018-05-21 13:14:42 +0000 UTCI would SO be up for a low-key audio book in a patreon-style reading
2018-05-21 12:51:40 +0000 UTCDan, you didn't mention about the thing..that happened.. to iron man.. THAT thing
2018-05-21 12:21:51 +0000 UTCTotally okay with different types of podcasts with a little update thrown in. Also thanks for helping me to be brave enough to go to the doctors about mental health. Also, with you loving madness, will you be seeing them on their tour in December? They're touring with my favourite band The Fratellis
Captain_Cone
2018-05-21 12:19:23 +0000 UTCHugely prefer the rambling stuff over a themed podcast, an odd special where you do a run-down of favourite games etc would be ok but I love a good ramble
2018-05-21 12:15:46 +0000 UTCA chilled audiobook reading with improvisation sounds awesome. Check out how Eddie Izzard read his biography. Oodles of improv footnotes on top of other footnotes.
Naomi P
2018-05-21 11:29:33 +0000 UTCThe Dadcubed weekly vlog is the highlight of the week on YouTube in our household. So refreshing and kind and gentle but some of the best jokes and editing anywhere. Please do keep them up, even if not an earner.
Naomi P
2018-05-21 11:22:32 +0000 UTCRe your question about future podcasts - for me it's the best podcast of the week because it's about life behind the channel. Please don't switch to top 10s etc. Loving your work Dan.
Naomi P
2018-05-21 11:21:32 +0000 UTCHuge yes to the low-key audio book. Basically just make it an extra-extra long patreon podcast and it'll be perfect!!
2018-05-21 11:04:10 +0000 UTCA good idea for a tier is maybe a special guest doing the audio book (Ashens?)
Jack Draper
2018-05-21 10:57:59 +0000 UTCHave you ever been so bad at a game (that was a good game) that you couldn’t enjoy it through frustration?
GeekMeetsWorld
2018-05-21 10:36:58 +0000 UTCI would not expect I Want A New Duck to show up on a list. Lol. Either way, always glad for some Weird Al representation
Stephen Staver
2018-05-21 10:08:32 +0000 UTCI would really enjoy you doing themed podcasts, with this being the kind of staple, and the themed ones are when you feel like doing it instead as a nice surprise.
2018-05-21 09:29:06 +0000 UTCHey Dan, good to see you're feeling well enough to do the podcast again. I always love listening to them. I've got a question for you. You've always been a person who doesn't drink and I am also someone who doesn't drink. However, I'm finding that a lack of drinking seems to isolate me somewhat from my peers at University. Or rather, not that I'm isolated, but that I feel that I'd be a lot better friends with some of the people I know if I participated in drinking with them. In your life, how have you navigated the social aspect of not drinking (if you've even experienced any problems due to not drinking) and do you have any advice that you could give me? I fully expect the answer to be "nope, don't have any advice", but I figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks for reading (if you did) and have a wonderful day. :)
Matt Eden
2018-05-21 09:21:48 +0000 UTCWhen you're watching Taskmaster do you think about how you'd do the tasks? (also, 22 minutes? That's just wrong.)
Tom Chaney
2018-05-21 08:20:06 +0000 UTCYeah, they shot on location at the station in Edinburgh. They had a massive green screen and lights up. They also built that café they smashed
Tom Chaney
2018-05-21 07:52:52 +0000 UTCI know you and Rebecca have been watching Steven Universe. So I would recommend 'over the garden wall' that has recently come out on Netflix, it is beautiful.
2018-05-21 07:08:30 +0000 UTCLow key audiobook is fantastic as I’m not a big reader but would love to consume that content! Also I love the podcasts as they are, perhaps splice it up so one in four or every other pod cast is “Here’s 10 great games that didn’t make it to a video” or “5 films I watch all the time because they always make me cry” podcasts for example! Ultimately just do whatever you want cause it’s always gonna be great and I love your content, thank you!
LukeSeawalker
2018-05-21 06:14:11 +0000 UTCA low-key audiobook where you laugh at your own jokes? Yes, please. May I have some vinegar on my chips with that?
2018-05-21 05:24:17 +0000 UTCDan! Have Ashens do the audio book!
Johnflipper5
2018-05-21 03:51:18 +0000 UTCI love the low-key audiobook idea. And on a different note, you should check out the game Far: Lone Sails. It looks like a neat little puzzle platformer where you take care of a weird vehicle in a desolate wasteland.
Steven Carpadakis
2018-05-21 03:23:53 +0000 UTCHey Dan, you’ve only mentioned the IT crowd ( which is one of my favorite British shows) briefly, what do you think of the show? And if you’ve seen it is there any way you could go through all of the episodes, like you did for Doctor who?
Alex Bonilla
2018-05-21 02:59:29 +0000 UTCRegarding your destroying the gems theiry, didn't thanos use the space stone after it cracked? To get out of Wakanda?
2018-05-21 02:02:41 +0000 UTCOh and maybe an idea for the book thing is doing an online game with some of the contributors or something, i dunno!
D&D Lemur
2018-05-21 01:31:12 +0000 UTCHey Dan, I've been watching Steven Universe for the past few days thanks to yours and Rebecca's recommendations and love it! Just wondered if either of you recommended anything else similar to it i could watch?
D&D Lemur
2018-05-21 01:29:24 +0000 UTCI like the podcast how it is but i think that that'd be a fun video series
Diarmaid Ó Braonáin
2018-05-21 00:34:52 +0000 UTCYou're right about the looks, they did that for a reason, I reckon they're going for Time Travel. But I don't think the writers will be so cheap and make it consequence free. They're better than that.
Mark Fletch
2018-05-20 23:39:48 +0000 UTCHey hey, would you ever consider writing for theatre?
2018-05-20 23:36:43 +0000 UTCHey Dan, do you watch Westworld? I really like it btw, really recomend it
Mathieu Marlaire
2018-05-20 23:29:59 +0000 UTCI can't believe DadCubed is coming to my neck of the woods for the F1 and I won't be there to say hi! Anyway. Dan I was wondering if you've ever played DnD. I can imagine you creating amazing stories as a Dungeon Master
Alex
2018-05-20 22:40:37 +0000 UTCHey Dan. Have to say, I would pay a fair bit just for a 'director's commentary' audio book of your book. I don't do audio books (much rather actually read - if I listen to an audio books I tend to tune out), but I'd binge listen to such a thing! Love the idea, and can't wait to see if you go forward with it :)
2018-05-20 22:36:20 +0000 UTCI think that was me reccomending Donkey Kong in the stream, now I've been going through it again on Switch I can deffinatly see the flaws (Primarily those inconsistant barrel items). Do you listen to Savlonic? If not, it's Mr Weebl's band, their early stuff is very silly and Weebl-y but their stuff in more recent years is really good.
RaptorBricks
2018-05-20 21:48:37 +0000 UTCHey Dan, is there anything that you would like to see at E3 this year or do you have any predictions? Sidenote: I suggest that the podcast should be themed every other week (maybe monthly)
Alan Morrison
2018-05-20 21:25:27 +0000 UTCI hadn't even considered that.
Jellex
2018-05-20 21:09:15 +0000 UTCI just want to see how the netflix marvel series deals with the snap
Diarmaid Ó Braonáin
2018-05-20 21:07:53 +0000 UTCI do not have Netflix
Jellex
2018-05-20 20:58:53 +0000 UTCSteven Spielberg has a list of movies you have to watch and critique before he will speak to you. In a similar vein, do you have any games you would insist a game dev MUST play before they be allowed to release any game on major platforms like Steam and Origin? Source for those interested in Steven Spielberg's list - http://collider.com/steven-spielberg-curriculum-movie-list/

2018-05-20 20:49:17 +0000 UTCI'm quite partial to just hear you talk.

2018-05-20 20:39:41 +0000 UTC50:17 is when the spoilers end :D
jonathan steward
2018-05-20 20:24:55 +0000 UTCHey Dan firstly low key audiobooks is the best idea I think especially for us cos it's just the kinda thing we love. And about the themed podcast I love the idea but really personally I love the podcasts for what they are now so much I wouldn't want to lose them. Its hard to explain why, they're just really nice and relaxed hearing you basically just have a casual chat
William Newing
2018-05-20 20:24:33 +0000 UTCHi Dan. I'm new to your patron and have just started getting into creating YouTube videos myself (edited bits of me playing games). I just want to ask: back during your early days on YouTube, how much did you care about what people thought of your content?
Harry Potton
2018-05-20 20:07:41 +0000 UTCIf you could be one animal for a day what would it be!?....also will Rebecca ever sell her art. Because I would hang what she does on my wall for sure
Scott
2018-05-20 19:39:45 +0000 UTCi think like skype calls or gaming sessions would be good !!
Casey Holloway
2018-05-20 19:34:30 +0000 UTCI thoroughly enjoyed my sniffing, thank you.
ThisDamnScotsman
2018-05-20 19:33:49 +0000 UTCSo you're saying you want to make a long, book podcast basically? I am incredibly into this. I would pay extra for this. [INSERT MONEY_FRY_MEME.JPEG]. Also, for pledge ideas, I would follow Ashen's rewards from his books. They went well. Also also, you have made me want an Xbox One X. I wont buy it yet, but in a few weeks, oh boy.
Will ''The Button King'' Harding
2018-05-20 19:32:55 +0000 UTCThat was a sufficient sniffing

2018-05-20 19:32:02 +0000 UTCI love the idea of a low-key audio-book! :)

2018-05-20 19:22:04 +0000 UTCThere are spoilers, yes, but he mentions when he goes into spoiler territory.
Tijmen Bergman
2018-05-20 19:21:01 +0000 UTCYou should have a look at the audiobook for The Martian, that's narrated really well, with a good amount of proper expression
James Macleod
2018-05-20 19:20:42 +0000 UTCGood to hear Jim Jefferies get an intro.
Douglas Hodgson
2018-05-20 19:17:58 +0000 UTCIf you want an example of a more casual audiobook, you should checkout "The audiobook of the year 2017" by the 'No such thing as a Fish' podcast how who did their audiobook in the style of their podcast

2018-05-20 19:15:13 +0000 UTCAre there spoilers? I wanna listen but not if you're gonna spoil the movie :(
