I was genuinely interested to see your response to this. As to your previous comment on the other podcast, I think I must be a centrist - instead of following the policies of one party, don't choose one and take each issue as it's own, weigh the different arguments and come to a decision. As for your dislike of Dan, I can definitely see where you're coming from, and maybe I'm just too much of a coward to create arguments, but I tend to just accept people for who they are and be cool with it. If Dan wants to hate Tories, whatever. I think I like listening to his personality because it's something totally different from my own. And in the end, we're all just trying to get through life, nobody has a fucking clue what's going on and we each deal with our problems in different ways.

2019-01-26 23:38:04 +0000 UTCI've never understood the "you never reply to my comments" complaint on twitter, he has 235,000 followers you can't possibly expect him to respond to everyone. Also I never knew that the Need for Speed Most Wanted video was "sponsored", just goes to show that disclosing it in the description is useless :P

2019-01-18 04:09:57 +0000 UTCI realise I've left more than my fair share of comments on this one, but I now have an actual question: given that you're not a huge fan of the X-Com format, are you still excited for Tactical Breach Wizards due to the sheer Tom Francis-ness of it all?

2019-01-17 17:22:56 +0000 UTCOn the money topic, if you ever get an indication from my comments that I'm getting a decent, regular income and I haven't upped my pledge; remind me, because it won't be because I don't want to, it will 100% be sheer absent mindedness. I know an individual pledge isn't usually all that much, but you've more than earned it

2019-01-17 16:48:25 +0000 UTCI used to consider myself broadly central on most issues, when I was a small child who had absolutely no idea what the subjects of disagreement were and assumed that pretty much everyone had pretty much everyone else's best interests at heart, and then a little later I started picking up opinions on the big issues, but stayed indecisive on things like what music people like. Then I came to realise that firmly knowing what I like brings me greater happiness, so whatever you like to listen to; excellent! Folks being happy is wonderful, but I know I love the music of Lily Allen. I took a position and it made my life better. I also came to accept that I can't write a vaguely serious comment without it dissolving into incoherent rambling

2019-01-17 16:44:32 +0000 UTCDan: I'm the subject of this podcast, so I'm going to respond. Maybe you'll read it, maybe you won't. My comment _was_ deleted the first time it was posted. As mentioned in the repost, I still had a window open that showed the comment. Either you, or someone you direct, deleted it. It's not unreasonable for me to accuse you of deleting it, whether yourself or by proxy, especially when you do tend to crow about how you mute people left and right on Twitter. As for the rest of your response, you just did your best to to re-frame what I said or pick it apart and remove context in order to feel you trounced me. Beyond telling you that every assumption you made about who and what I am was incorrect, there's no point in trying to respond; you'd just do the same again. You win; enjoy the pedestal. I think this was simply a case where "Don't meet your heroes," was indeed true. You were good fun at a distance, but the more I got to know you, the more I realized that, behind your content, you're just another angry, provincial, narrow-minded person on the internet. Hardly condemning, really... just makes you normal... but it's not the kind of attitude I want to reward with my support.

2019-01-17 08:13:32 +0000 UTCAre you reading "The Writer's Tale" or "The Writer's Tale: the final chapter"? The original book is beautiful hard cover with script excerpts and everything. The second is paperback and doesn't have the scripts but has some stuff about the specials.

2019-01-16 21:36:29 +0000 UTCYou make very little from Youtube directly, but I think most of the money that you earn on Patreon is due to your Youtube videos. Don't get too disheartened - it's terrible that Youtube barely pays you directly for your videos, but you do earn a decent amount from them indirectly

2019-01-16 17:48:38 +0000 UTCI just gotta share that when I was a baby, some family friends (basically but not actually godparents) were looking after me for a couple of nights. This is out in rural NSW, Australia, so they had maybe 7 mid-large sized dogs. They had me in their bed that night, though I was notorious for crawling around, and the dogs were known for over-enthusiastically nuzzling at the end of the bed. This resulted in my crawling to the end of the bed, over Nick's feet, being mistaken for their great dane, and being promptly and sharply kicked from the bed. (I was eventually rescued). Dogs cause bed abuse.
2019-01-16 11:14:50 +0000 UTCAlso, how bizarre is it to know that people have grown up with you, and that youve had an actual impact on how people developed? I for one feel like I've grown up with you.

2019-01-15 20:30:20 +0000 UTCI disagree with your opinion on anti-vaxxers... we should use a trebuchet instead of a catapult as it is the superior siege weapon. (Edit: please don’t delete this comment just because you may be a catapult fan boy) /s

2019-01-15 18:17:07 +0000 UTCI'm not sure where my comment to your comment went... But in reply to what you said, I do not believe that 100% renewable is at all feasible due to it's intermittency issues.

2019-01-15 16:22:04 +0000 UTCOver the past few years we've learned the difference between the social and economic right wing, also with history I don't remember dates either, I only know 1945(end of WW2), 1919(end of WW1), and 1066 because Hastings insurance ad had 1066 at the end of their phone number Also have you seen how stacked the Royal Rumble and Takeover Phoenix cards are

2019-01-15 14:29:31 +0000 UTCDan you are definitely on your to be the next Billy Connolly at least with the ability of going of on a tangent and then come back to your point only to get distracted again. Keep it up we will need you in the coming months as we all eaten by the Tories.
2019-01-15 12:01:06 +0000 UTCIf my two cent are worth anything, I think the Green Party are right about nuclear. The time it would take to authorise and build and staff the hundreds of nuclear plants required to power the UK or thousands to power the US wouldn’t be enough to effectively counter climate change. These plants would have to be built faster then we’ve ever built nuclear power stations before, on a greater scale then ever before, not to mention convincing millions upon millions of people to allow nuclear plants to be built near there homes, and from personal experience I know hell haft no fury like a NIMBY protest. Also as mentioned in the previous comment above the amount of waste we’d be leaving with future generations would be on a massive scale. Just thought I’d say my piece (peace? I don’t know which version is meant to go with that phrase). P.s. please keep calling out racists and Nazis, your one of the few big people on YouTube/twitch to do it and if even one person changes there mind and becomes better then it’s an effort well spent.

2019-01-15 11:03:16 +0000 UTCI mean, I usually agree with you, but the nuclear power thing is pretty complicated. Like, for power now, we are dooming so many future generations to dealing with this waste that we're just storing somewhere without knowing the first thing about how to deal with it. This is a really good video about how we're communicating to future generations about the stuff we've buried: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-r1L32zUB8" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-r1L32zUB8</a>

2019-01-15 10:43:36 +0000 UTCYou talked in one bit about anti-Semitism in the labour party, and I don't know if this is the same thing but I read an article today about how people are labelling criticisms of Israel as anti-Semitism in order to silence talk about the violations of the human rights of Palestinians by Israel. <a href="https://newmatilda.com/2019/01/15/redefining-free-speech-opposing-israel-not-anti-semitism/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://newmatilda.com/2019/01/15/redefining-free-speech-opposing-israel-not-anti-semitism/</a>
