Feel your pain. We haven’t had hot water for over a year, can’t afford to replace the boiler. Electric shower is all we have. And a kettle.

I only just started using it, and find that some subreddits are amazing but some are filled with horrible people. Just have to subscribe to subreddits that you enjoy.

Hey Dan, I'm glad you enjoy Steven Universe! I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on the show, I don't know what you'd talk about but i'm sure it'd be entertaining if not insightful SU has that effect. so... talk about it some more? not a demand, merely a request. Thanks for considering it.

The "using jokes as plot points" thing reminds me a lot of this public webtoon, Kubera, that used this tactic a lot. Best example I can think of is when Ran looks at one of the main characters and thinks "Wow, this person looks like they'd kill a whole bunch of people and get away with it." God knows how many chapters later it is revealed that yeah, that guy totally did kill a whole bunch of people. Hearing you say that you'll make use of this tactic in your own work (although we probably won't see it for a few years) really gets me excited for it :)

Pretty sure they do still talk and are friends, but never publicly because the Demma thing got out of hand quickly. Emma talked about it in one of the videos in the last few months and how it wasn't good for all involved, because you had shippers hating on Rebecca and increasing demands for collaborations.

I respect your decision to leave social media, sometimes I wish I had strength to remove this kind of negativity from my life. However, I'm going to miss your Twitter rants about Brexit and other stupid shit, I hope that at least some of that will make its way here on the Patreon Podcast.

If you want to go further with trying to reduce the amount of time you spend on your phone you could use an app called forest where you plant virtual trees and you have to stay off your phone otherwise the tree dies! Also if you get the premium version then you can eventually use the in game currency to plant real trees which is pretty cool. On the subject of sponsored videos, does that mean you no longer watch people like Jay Foreman?

I'm attempting (and failing) to write stuff, but can't find a method that lets me shift stuff around and indicate cross references as much as I'd like? 2. Any tips on turning a world into a story? I have a world, and know the motivations of most of the agents in it, but can't weave them together into a compelling narrative. 3. What's your opinion on, when hitting burnout with a given story, switching to write a seperate short story in the same universe?

When you say 'brands' of medicine do you mean different brand names, or the generic version from different manufacturers? Because I don't know how your pharmacy does it but the one I work in, if someone specifically asks for a certain manufacturer (assuming it's generic), we can call our suppliers to ask for that one (and even keep a bunch stored away). It might be worth asking around the nearby pharmacies to see if this is possible

I was starting my story writing session while listening to your podcast. Turns out I'm hopeless at writing when listening to someone talk, but I did enjoy the fact that I was writing a story (which I hope to re-write as a novel), while listening to you talking about a novel you're working on. :D
