Hold tight and pretend it’s a plan

Thank fuck 2020 is over, with its plague and that terrible Gal Gadot cover of Imagine. Let’s stick this one in the history books and never, ever talk about it again. Okay? Okay.

2021 is here, and with it brings a sense of relief, like leaving a room that someone just did a horrible fart in. Oh sure, this next room might contain gasses of an equally foul nature, (I’m writing this as our post-orgy mop lookalike of a PM is announcing Tier 750 or something) but we’ll take our chances thanks.

With 2021 comes changes to the whole of Nerd³, and right here, right now is when we’ll be discussing them. Everything might change or combust in some way, but for right now, this is the plan.

Writing

My main job in 2021 is to write. 1000 words a day, every day, for at least the first three months. This is scary, but very much obtainable. I tested this at the end of last year and, surprisingly, I was actually able to do this. I tried more, but after 1000 words I just start rolling my face back and forth over the keyboard like I was pretending to be a pirate ship ride.

By doing this, The Paradox Paradox will release this year. Without this, it won’t. Currently Act 1 is a few drafts in, Act 3 is almost a full first draft, and Act 2 is a pile of post it notes and tears. Current feedback is very positive, with only one person noticing that my plot structure is bizarrely similar to Cool Runnings. I’m still excited by it, so that’s a good sign.

For me, this 1000 word thing is a big change in my day to day structure. Currently I have writing days, YouTube days, and Secret Project days. From now on, every day will start with 1000 words, then I’ll move on to whatever I fancy. This might cause a misweighted output of my other stuff for a while, but it should stabilise pretty quickly as I work it out. Also, apparently misweighted isn’t a word?! Whatever, I’m still counting it.

Also, the book after The Paradox Paradox has a title, a synopsis and a few notes scribbled down in a notebook. I just can’t help myself.

YouTube

The Nerd³ YouTube channel celebrates 10 years in a couple of months, and I’m still not sure if I’m quitting it or not. Believe me, I want to, but not because of the videos. I like making videos, I just hate the platform, the people on it, and, you know, everything it stands for. The other day I noticed that the “videos” tab is now a “content” tab. Ugh.

I cannot stress just how torn I am with YouTube right now. I love making videos, showing off neat games, and making series about putting bushes down on a city road. I just can’t stand how out of place it makes me feel. It used to be this place of creativity, where you could make anything, and it would find the audience. Now it’s a website that promotes repetitive, popular content, and VPN sponsorships. I feel like the dad who has arrived too early to pick his kid up from a school disco, and is just standing at the back, thinking about Supertramp and the good old days to stop himself from going mad.

So, what’s the plan? Well, if 2020 was a content shift back to the OG Plays days, then 2021 will be a shift further back to the Minecraft days. I know it’s not a popular game anymore, but Minecraft with RTX on is a staggeringly gorgeous game, and I just want to spend hours building a little town in it. So, I’m going to. The Buildy Thing shall return, and it will do so soon!

As well as that, I’ll do a smattering of Plays videos, they’re always fun, but I’m not sure about the news-based Show series. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Actually, that’s the point really. I want to shift YouTube away from what YouTube wants, and into what you want from me. Well, what you want from me out of a list of things I actually want to do. :p

Twitch

Ah, streaming. I’m still not sure I really get it. It’s so much lower energy than videos, but engaged with at a much higher energy? Bizarre.

I think the plan is going to be a three day streaming week, but I’m unsure on the details because I was supposed to plan all of this last week and, well, I didn’t. (I’ve been worried about my little Lucas, but I’m happy to say he’s recovering well!)

Aside from finishing Masterchef off, I have no specific plans. I’m thinking more consistent game playing, just so we can dig deeper into something. Creative too, or maybe a new release I’m excited about. Again, I defer to you lot. Seriously, I’m easy. What do you want?

Secret Project One

Oh, and the secret projects. There’s a few of them, all at various states, but hopefully SP1 will see a release this year!

But, I hear you cry, what is it?

It’s a card game. One I’ve designed with Rebecca. Not Nerd³ or YouTube themed or anything like that. It’s something to go in shops and is coming along really nicely. We’re in the testing phase now, and are working out how we’re going to release it. Crowdfunding is inevitable, but I’m honestly trying to stay out of the production side. (I’m delegating like a motherfucker this year. Efficiency! Finally!) However, I have just found the original discs for some of the simulator games I played on the channel over the years. Seems like a good backer reward, especially as one of them is snapped in half!

So yeah, expect this one late 2021, possibly 2022.

Right, I think that’s everything. Also, that’s 1000 words! Nailed it! Let’s have a great year people.

- Daniel

Damn... I didn't comment on this at the time because I couldn't put my thoughts into words but you've just done it for me perfectly. Thanks for that 🙂

I’m late commenting on this post but I would like to say that I love the News Show, but it would totally work as a “only when there’s news” show, so it’s not feeling forced to keep producing it. It keeps me updated on the gaming industry so I can chat to my partner about stuff (as he works in the industry) but also because the humour you put into them is top talent! Loving the buildy series so much at the moment, so glad you decided to do that :) Can’t wait for all your projects in 2021; The card game sounds amazing! My partner and I love playing physical board/card games, so this will be wicked. Cannot wait for the Paradox Paradox too! You do what makes you happy, as ultimately it’s your life you have to live. The reason I support you on Patreon is so you can keep doing these things, but I do love your videos, your live streams, all of it really. You are easily my favourite creator, as you don’t shy away from calling people out on their wanky decisions & opinions, and your humour is second to none! Just keep being you, Dan. That would be enough! Love to you, Rebecca, Matt and all the fur babies! Xx

Mincraft series is amazin Cant wait for PP (heheh) Retro N3 merch please (geoff the shark + RCT3) Please keep making podcasts GOD PLEASE Cooking videos (I work shift so I cant get to livestreams so I hope it would be a video not a stream) BE HAPPY DAN we want you to be happy. If we get 2 8 part "plays" series a year and the books and that was it Id be happy Id hype up release day of the 8 episodes and binge them in one sitting and cry after but do you know what itd still work. The core audience will stand by. Love all your conbined work Glen Btw Matt and Rebbecca appreciation 💙

Really exited about billdy thing returning, etc really is beautiful isn't it. I'm allways a fan of low energy creativity, keep up the good work!

Can't wait for btilliant future videos, and I hope you don't choose to quit it, as you have made me happy over many years!

The /nerdcubed show video I really enjoyed this year! Its format is great and if you haven't been keeping up to date with what's happening, its all there in one funny/informative video! I think minecraft build videos could work well on twitch, you are undoubtedly going to be spending a lot of time in the game, so streaming while building with a live audience could gain some interaction and influence from the chat? (I think I'm not alone when I say that I will enjoy watching you place cubes on top of each other for literally hours on end without getting bored) I have generally enjoyed all of the content released in 2020 and I cant wait to see what 2021 and the years to come bring. Thankyou for the content over the past decade. :)

Jesse_Fish_45

I think the NERD3 show has generally been one of my highlights. As it is enjoyable to have short, amusing, and informative videos, but I also imagine its one that takes a lot more effort to produce, given its scripted nature. I'd love to see it continue but understand either way.

Bryn Mitchell

Please know that Minecraft is not not popular and I want you to know that you were the first, if not one of the first YouTubers I ever started watching and I'm glad because it set my attitude towards YouTube, and you have genuinely given me happiness in dark times. Whether it was just cause 3, Minecraft, game of the year, rewatching driver San Francisco over and over (the truck flying is my favourite bit,) or hearing you say "hello procrastinators" you have truly enriched my life with joy and happiness. Thank you so much and the fact that YouTube has given me joy but you stress and unhappiness makes me feel guilty because while I was having joy you were suffering. Thank you so much

Hughes_2604

I'll be honest, if it goes, I'll miss the NerdCubed Show, I got a lot of good deals thanks to it, and learned a whole bunch of stuff... But it's only good if you enjoy it, if you don't, then it's better to let it go on a high note (or give it to Matt / Jon)

Javier Navarro Muñoz

I enjoy the news videos and genuinely super excited for everything planned this year

Evin Walshe

I'm very much looking forward to all of it ♥

HaphazardPanda

Personally I love the news videos. It showcases your humble but (I like to think) takes up less time. Also, as an aside, original Deus Ex ever?

Minecraft just building is the perfect kind of content we'd love

The person reading this is sexy and epic

I am so excited! I hope that all goes according to plan! Also screw YouTube, just make the videos you want. You have the patreon backers and your hardcore audience, so I wouldn't worry about them pushing your content. I know we'll all enjoy whatever you make, as long as you're happy making it. Have a good year!

Mr_Ozzy71

Buildy thingy holycrap im so excited! also personally i really really love the news videos (and although i know its polarising - hearing your views on politics!) but really if ur iffy about making them and you find it tiring than fair enough :) cant wait to read your book!! worth any scattering videos for more writing gems.

Jack Kiely

I would quite like to see the Shows series return as I'm not big on news in general and that let me stay somewhat up to date with the big news in gaming at least. Also, Super excited about the return of the Buildy Thing. Some of the first videos I watched from you, and some I've gone back to now and then just for some fun and nostalgia.

Batcat

I would love to see you do a live stream or two on that portal 2 mod, portal stories mel! Also hope you had a nice new years, the start of this year has already gone to shit😂

Jack (Chat Cast) Bantock

I hope the Nerd Cubbed show returns it was a lovely little ritual I got into watching it. don't overwork yourself though. also why is every YouTube channel that saw big success 5 years ago coming out with a card game now? I'm guessing card games are pretty lucrative.

Justin Milo

I really liked the news videos especially because they reminded me to redeem the free games from the epic store. The plays will forever be my favorite type of content. Streams just don't hit the same itch as the old completes. They offer more interactivity (if you can watch them live) but you aren't quite as engaged with the games because there are always a few hundred people making suggestions, asking stuff or commenting on whats happening. (and 2 h are a bit much for people with a really short attention span) But you should still do what you like most, as long as I can read your books and get the occassional upload on the main channel, I'm happy

Welf Garkisch

I mean, the reason I found the channel all those 9 years ago was the ‘Plays’ so I’d keep that around for it is the bread and butter of it all. But I know you’ve mixed it up with time. So you’re fuel for it may run out. But also love the recommendations side of it along with ‘and suddenly fart joke’ If this helps at all! Just find the games you love and sink right back into them and make a dick joke or two along the way I’d suggest Happy New Year Dan! Or Matt, whoever reads this!

Griff Roberts

I like the news show. The whole idea was to show people new games too in it since you're no longer doing plays of new cool games that comes out

Mark Fletch

I really like the news show and would miss it if it goes.. but hey, I'm excited for Minecraft! Happy new year nerd team!

This all sounds like progress to me 😃 I would love to see a follow on to matsterchef. Maybe "Oh cook" (James May) to stay on the cooking theme.

Gentle Grudge

Super excited for the book and the fact that you are already planning another one, that shit just makes my day!! And the secret project, that sounds fun totally backing when that finally sees the light of day! Good luck with everything and dear gods i hope 2021 is better the 2020 in every gods damn conceivable way

ViralDragonRider

As a suggestion, hows about that freedom force game you were thinking of playing? I think you'll find it is *very* creative :D

SeventhEmberXander

Woo! Sounds like a decent plan to start the year even if it only lasts a week or so. Personally a huge fan of the Show series but at the same time if there is nothing to talk about don't do it. WOOHOO minecraft RTX can't wait to see that!! Back the good old days but prettier! Stream wise I would love to see some creative stuff, maybe some more planet zoo or some of the older tycoon games. Also love the completes you do on stream

ViralDragonRider

Dan please continue the news show if you can I always love your humour in them man it’s insane to think it’s 10 years when you started I started watching you when I was 11 I am going to be 20 now and so excited for mine craft to return love you Dan 🥺

Keep doing the news videos :) (as long as it’s still something you enjoy doing) can’t wait for the buildy thing return, would love streams to be completes series of classic sandbox games eg zoo tycoon, sim coaster, or SeaWorld tycoon. Or just the sims 😂😂 whatever you make I’ll usually watch regardless

Matt

I genuinely love the news videos so would be sad to see them go, but once a month or just when there’s a big announcement would work. And please don’t leave YouTube entirely, even if it’s just uploading the Twitch stuff to YouTube as it’s easier to watch later on there for me personally anyway.

Lillith Hickling

I always look forward to you doing something creative because I think that’s when you really shine. Any of the building series where always my favorite, I even always looked forward to the building episode in fallout 4 so it excites me so much that you are bring back the buildy thing series.

James McMahon

I'm fine with whatever videos you want to make at whatever frequency as long as you are enjoying making them. I enjoy your humor and the game you are playing doesn't matter. I definitely prefer the videos on Youtube over streams from Twitch. The streams are during my work day, so there is no way I can watch them live. I do watch them as VODs (on Youtube since Twitch sucks more), but that defeats the purpose of a stream and the ability to interact with the streamer and the community

Charles Rowe

Okay, as unbelievably excited as I am to see the return of the Buildy Thing, I hope you don't utterly exhaust yourself like you did with the original, because if I remember correctly, that's why you stooped XD I really enjoyed the News series, hoping to see more of it. If you streaming means long rambly things, then I am all for it. I love having your voice in the background while I'm playing games.

Rowan Mackenzie

I personally love you videos. I know YouTube is a cunt of a platform (of you could even call it a platform, since platforms are supposed to support things) I dont mind if you quit YouTube, but I still want to see your videos. Especially since it seems now like you're making them because YOU want to make them. That's what people enjoy from your best videos. They feel like something you'd be doing regardless, because it's something you're passionate about. And that makes them entertaining and brilliant. So as long as I can keep watching your videos, no matter where they're uploaded or available, I'll be happy, and I think a lot of others will too. :) Stay awesome mate!

Liam Ekeberg

The news videos are really some of my favourite things that you do, I would love for them to stay around.

nathan gavin

I think the buildy thing coming back is great and look super forward to it. I really like the news videos but I get if you don't wanna do them anymore. And as for leaving YouTube I'll still support you if you do. So long as I get the occasional podcast on here then I'll stay forever (recently discovered my phone storage was full and it was because I've never deleted the podcast since I downloaded them so theyed all built up) Can't wait for the card game and am sure Ill go for a stupid high tier

Tim Wiles

Love the idea of going back to buildy thing. Looking forward to that. Love the card game announcement! That's so cool! I liked the Nerdcubed Show as I found the scripts very funny, but don't find them necessary or anything, to be fair, I haven't missed them without them being brought up by someone else first. I don't care whether you quit YouTube or not. Still supporting the stuff you do regardless, if you still enjoy making Plays video then by all means continue them. It would be much nicer if there was a platform other than YouTube to host them on.

Rio Sewell

I freaking love your content and this is why, you're the only person to not break under the pressure and get sponsors or to have stupid clickbate video titles and thumbnails. Like you're still just pure and for that I love your content. Keep it up :)

I was just thinking about using that 1000 word a day method to help me get into creative writing and was wondering what 1000 words looked like, now I know and think I'm gonna work my way up to that. And while I enjoy the news videos I can do without if need be.

Anthony Eickelman

Ahhh buildy thingy part two is absolutely all I needed to hear... as for streaming what if you did something like a Nerd Cubed loves or reviews or something. (I also love the plays more but I understand the YouTube ISSUE)

Sam Hook

I'm happy with what ever you decide to do. I love all of your content and if I miss a stream I can always catch up with it, which can give me something to watch as and when I can (especially if its a long one.) I must admit I enjoy the news videos and they have always been an great way for me, personally, to get gaming news, particularly for less noticeable topics. Good luck with what you chose. I'm hyped for what ever it will be!

Nile Baker

A Tomb Raider 2 or 3 completes series please. Also Sonic 1

Matthew Oliver

I must admit I quite enjoy the news pieces you do, and would love if you continued them.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS YEAR DAN!!! as this is your 10 year anniversary later in this year shall be my 10 year anniversary watching the channel! I've always been a big supporter of do what makes you happy and I CANT WAIT to see what comes later this year. WAIT WTF BUILDY THING IS BACK????? HOLY SHIT

Alyssa Gordon

Minecraft is definitely still a popular game. Have you kept up to date with PewDiePie at all? Even the YogsCast is coming back with Minecraft content

Qwerty-Space

The biggest mistake anyone streaming can make is to try and stream a game they aren't enjoying. Personally I love the creative stuff (Minecraft/Planet Coaster and Zoo/etc).

Christopher Walker

Personally, I really enjoyed the news show. Getting the headlines all in one place was really fun, as is your particular style. Good luck with the writing!

Jonathan Honey

Hope you manage to find a setup you like. We really enjoy your edited videos, so I hope you can find a way to make that a thing you can still do even off HellTube. I can't really get on with the streaming channel, it's still a nice watch for the bits I've caught but a little too long-form to fit in for us - I admire people who can put that kind of thing in the background and do something else at the same time, but I find that impossible (old man brain no multitask well). I must admit I prefer the Plays to the News, but you're entertaining doing basically anything so you do you :) best of luck

Steve Streeting

Good luck in the new year dan. I look forward to paradox paradox

Good luck with everything! I'm really excited to see what you come up with this year. The only feedback I can give is that I really enjoy the "News" series and I would love you to continue it.

Ethan Myers

Hey Daniel, Rebecca and Matt, first I want to wish you and the team a happy new year, onward to a year of change hopefully. As someone who grew up with the oldskool nerdcubed ( crashtastic was my first video) I must say that your channel/content changed a lot and that is for the better. The YouTube thing is just a hellhole as you described it and we want you to be happy. Personally I enjoy the streams via Youtube as I am mostly at work when you are streaming and they are a real nice break (relax-moment) from your normal videos. long story short, from my point of view I would say do what you want, do the videos you want to do, when you want to do them cause that is what is most important. wishing you, the team and all of the animals best of luck this year.

Greg Rademaekers

I totally understand your vision on YouTube and if you're only thinking about us, well I can be honest and say that I've followed you thanks to your passion. Mostly your passion shines trough in telling stories like the Fallout series or creating worlds like Planet Coaster. The video series that I love and when I feel bad it can always make me laugh again is Nerd3 Hell with no filters. It doesn't destroy games or gaming it shows what good games do well and that even with a terrible game you can have fun and give fun to all of us. Happy new year.

Happy New Year to you, Rebecca, and Matt! I'm glad to hear Lucas is recovering well. Along with many others in this comment section, I just want to see you create whatever makes you happy. Be sure to take breaks too Dan, we don't mind waiting for any of these projects if they will cause you more mental strain than you care to handle. To be honest, I think this format may work well for a few months possibly but I'm expecting everything to be upended and reformatted like every other major shift in the channel. However, I've found that those unstructured, "doing whatever the fuck I want" videos and streams are when you present yourself more honestly, which I find more enjoyment from. I hope your 2021 is a very successful and productive year and regardless I am very excited for whatever you feel like producing next!

I have watched you for many years dan and the amount you have helped make me laugh through many things is truly amazing i cant thank you enough!! I know you have always struggled with youtube and i agree it is crap but to be honest we dont care what you produce as long as you are happy and if that means we get to hear more or less of you then so be it, i personally do like the show and i would love to see a couple more things come to the irl/toys/whateverthehell channel aha, but again its your channel and your life, im sure we will all support you with whatever you decide to do! I dont really tend to catch many streams but you seem to enjoy them and im very impressed how your writing and other projects seem to be going, i cant wait to read it and see them!!! Youre an inspiration to many people dan and i really really hope you dont leave, but no matter what i backed you on here for a reason, cause i care and am interested in you, like many others, so THANK YOU!

Leon Allen

Love the nerd3 show!!!

Rachel Potter

I hope youre doing well! I like the nerdcubed show, it's one of the only ways I keep up to date with things without having to sift through all the bs hahaha One thing I think would be really cool to see is a replay of some of the games you played years ago, like OMSI and GTA IV and stuff like that Happy new year to you and the team!

MyNameIsJ

I think you should keep the news show! Also, 1000 words a day? Easy! You got this!

We wanna see you doing what makes you happy, whatever that may be :)

James Hamilton

Sounds like you got a good plan there. I think a lot of people would agree with me, do something you enjoy when it comes to videos, streams, books, card games, secret projects, whatever. I think your best videos and such have been when you have really enjoyed what you were doing. Buildy Thing sounds like that'll be good fun, and I am all for it!

Thomas N Wyndham

I think going back to minecraft is a great idea as it’s had a bit of a resurgence recently and I’m really excited for the book and the card game :)

allegedly-Welsh

I'm honestly fine with whatever. If you make it... I'll watch it/read it/play it.

Malachy Hamilton

I'm really glad about the writing stuff, that's really cool. Don't forget to take breaks and stuff, but you've been creating things for over a decade now, you don't need to hear that from me. I've been silent for probably more than two years on here maybe? I haven't had much time to keep up with stuff, and the stress is killing me (I *still* have to go to work despite easily being able to work from home, oh well), but I hope that I'll be able to catch up one day. I'm really glad that that I've been able to support you in some small way over these past... something years. I hope I'll be able to do so for another... something years to come!

Sandwich247

Yeah I'm liking the Nerdcubed Show, that and the occasional Plays video. Oh and of course the Podcats, bring that back

Mainline421

I thought the whole point of demonetizing all the videos was a big fuck you to YouTube in order to distance any and all content from the platform. YouTube is like a stale lake, the dead fish always float up to the top. There are still good "content creators" (yes I hate that word as well) that prioritize quality over quantity (you included) but they are hard to find among the cesspit of low quality "content". I will always prefer high quality videos every now and then that make you laugh and want to rewatch, over frequent videos that you forget as soon as your finish watching.

Happy new year Daniel! My preference of what you do is the streams now. I regularly rewatch classic YouTube series but the modern 10-15 min videos are great but seem so brief compared to a two hour long stream. You’re still so watchable and enjoyable doing unrehearsed off the cuff comedy in random game streams they offer me at least a far greater level of enjoyment! The news videos were good but only at that week in time, for the scripting and effort for a 5 min video I wouldn’t miss them. Super excited for your new card game project, for the second, and now third book too! Wishing you and Rebecca and the furries all the best!

Richard Grayson

Okay 1. I'm so proud of you for all the cool stuff you're doing, you're killing it! and 2. You could literally just play Minecraft and I'd be happy (but I know you probably wouldn't be so maybe not) I hope 2021 goes well for you, I'm very excited to see what you end up doing and I'll continue to support you any way I can! ❤️

Charlotte Boxall

Having the archive of live-streams on youtube is great - i play the old streams a lot. Ultimately it’s important that you make content that *you* enjoy otherwise it just ends up being you basically painting by numbers to generate content. Play games you enjoy. Rant about Lego. Build Lego. Eat che…erm. But only do them if you enjoy them.

Paul Stewart

I like the news show it's fun to watch but if you don't enjoy doing it then don't whatever you decide to do we will support you and Rebeca

Josh Harding

Personally I'd be more than happy with the odd buildy thingy with the streams going on, and if there's nothing to do the nerdcubed show on then there's no point forcing it. I think the 'random games on my switch' streams prove that most any game would work and be enjoyable. Since there would be MasterChef going on I feel that having a game series of streams might not be necessary, but who knows might get a game and idea that's perfect, or even do some of the more laid back buildy thingy sections live, more of a chat with Minecraft in the background. I'm very excited to hear The Paradox Paradox coming along and with the card game I wish everyone all the best. As you mentioned, the channel is coming on 10 years, that's a huge backlog and it wouldn't be my first choice, but quitting YouTube and leaving the channel up, or on the website, or Vimeo, HA, I would understand and still be happy with. Long story short I'm excited to see this year play out and whatever happens I'll probably still be here.

Joel Esson

Personally I'm still most into your videos, and that's what I keep coming back to. Your YouTube videos were basically what pushed me more and more into the English YouTube scene WAAAY back in the day, and you were one of the main YouTubers I taught myself English with. Anyways, as long as there's a new video every now and then I'm happy. Keep doing what you want to do, that's how we get the best you have to offer.

Julian

100% agree! There is a noticeable difference in the games you want to play vs. the games you think YT wants you to play. We can tell when you're enjoying the games, there's so much more energy in them. Keep doing it!!

Happy new year! Honestly love the idea of a Minecraft series and 3 days of streams (everyday is too much, I'm still catching up). The news videos are amazing and I would like to see them return. Keep up the good work, your stuff is better than ever. Can't wait to read The Paradox Paradox!

The NerdCubed show is amazing. If Dan you can keep it around with out it become a hassle then it would be great if it stayed. Really looking forward to minecraft making a return. Can’t wait for you to make me jealous with your creativity in minecraft and me frantically trying to mash my keyboard to try recreate something you built. A lot of my 2020 was good because of your videos. One little thing I’d maybe like to see a little more. Some collaborations with Jon and Matt! Since 2020 was a time when so many people was alone, hearing people together on a game or even a podcats episode is just so refreshing.

1211 Wolf

Yay for The Buildy Thing! Yay for OG Plays! So long sir news-based Show series! But that's just what I'm thinking :)

Tailmartian

The return of minecraft. All I can say is noice.

A card game?? I can’t wait!

Mia Rolfe

Thank you for the continued updates and work Dan, can’t wait to see what 2021 brings you. The card game sounds amazing I can’t wait to see it. Regarding the News videos you mentioned you wanted feedback on, personally I really like them, they’re funny, well written and at the end of the day actually keep me up to date on game news, something I’m terrible at following. Anyway, my 2 cents, wishing you all the best for the new year!

Jack Shepherdson

Very much looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the future with the other projects. Even if / when videos stop, at least it means you'll still be able to keep making things!

Jen Campbell

Let me be the first to say that since you started making it for yourself and demonitising your videos, the quality has gone SO FAR up. If you enjoy them, make them. Fuck whatever YouTube wants you to do, it's nothing more now than a vehicle to get your videos to the people that want them. But seriously, do whatever makes you happy. Streaming, videos, pottery, whatever. The jump in quality when you do stuff you enjoy is HIGHLY noticeable so, while if you really want a suggestion I'd just say "keep up the videos you're doing now" if you're not enjoying them, don't do it. You get my support regardless and I'm sure that's true of most people here

Yunas
