Evolution of Noelle's Design

I'd been doing some file organization today and found Noelle's very first concept sketch so I wanna share some changing points in her design over the year.

The first sketch was from August 2021, I don't think I posted this anywhere. It was just to visualize my idea of her on paper. You might notice that she wears the full ranger outfit in this one, which is a popular look for Courier Six, but I quickly decided against it because the medium armor looked too heavy on her.

The second one was the first time I actually drew her around October 2021. Her design hasn't changed much since then, a simplified reinforced leather armor with red beret and the ranger duster half-cape.

The third image was from December 2021, which was when I started to draw other companions, most often Boone, and I wanted to coordinate their color schemes to make them look nicer together. That resulted in some change in Noelle's hair and outfit color toward more warmer tones.

The forth one was very recent, around September this year. There hasn't really been any big change to her design, but my art style changed a lot and I'm really happy to have shifted into this style. I'm also a lot less strict with how I draw her hair. I prefer the flowy quality of it overall.

And bonus, some failed experiment. I tried to make a turning animation with different angles from an assortment of her art, but it didn't come out that smooth and I'm afraid it might cause dizziness, so I'm only sharing it here. :'3
