After meeting up with Kite, Gon and Killua are working with him and his team to track down the location of a new, potentially very dangerous, Chimera Ant Queen. Unfortunately she's taken up residence in a politically and geographically isolated island: the perfect breeding ground for the ants to grow and spread. Oh yeah, and they talk.

They’re REALLY hard to see, but hanging from the tip of those ‘stalactites’ are ant bodies that the eggs have seemingly burst out of. There’s a head and legs visible on each. They’re easier to see if you take the screenshot and really crank up the exposure.

2024-08-19 17:23:01 +0000 UTCIf you look very closely at the third to last screenshot with the royal guard eggs, they’re actually breaking out of oversized ‘normal’ ant bodies on the ceiling. The rest of the eggs are the same way but it’s so dark that it’s hard to see. I think the queen gives birth to giant six-legged ants that then metamorph into chimeras.
