⛑️ Good morning my wonderfully diverse hoomans

⛑️ Waking up this morning to a rude set of news articles

⛑️ Kinda spun out for a bit

⛑️ Decided to record my thoughts atm

⛑️ But I think it is a start

I’m hoping I’m more worried than I end up needing to be

Wendy Darling

As a man from PA with plenty of women friends, I am genuinely worried and scared for them. These next 4 years are going to be very interesting and unfortunately I am scared to see what will happen.

Muzell0

Better together! *hug*

Wendy Darling

That sucks it really does. But how is the president supposed to prevent that? Should we ban like TikTok or smthn? Or do you wanna silence people?

Ramon800

“Can we focus on actually important things that affect our lives” I have friends online receiving unwarranted and unprovoked racist and misogynistic DM’s. But I guess that’s not “affecting our lives.”

Ram

In all honestly remembering back on where I heard it, i think it was from mark hamil and the other white dudes for Harris on instagram. That’s my bad on saying YouTube cuz that ad took more of a shot on white guys on trumps side so don’t mean to mislead you. But I will say the media has long pushed that narrative on white people needing to “take accountability”. Btw I love your audios and hope all goes well for you during the next couple years.

Ramon800

Yeah. I’d like a factory reset. I think the constitution is still solid, but the amount of government overreach we have right now is insane.

Liam

I’m neither surprised nor disappointed because as they say history repeats itself. As long as people refuse to come to together over what’s actually important and abandon their petty disdain they will be taken advantage of by those who only care about securing their own personal power. I usually don’t leave comments but it’s nice to see someone isn’t trying to get caught up in the increasing polarization.

Phoenixrose

Thanks for building a lovely community

CryBabyRebellion

Can you link me that ad, I’m searching all over for it and can find nothing

Wendy Darling

He is good at that indeed, having lived through the dark and writing on the other side

Wendy Darling

Beautiful my little lobster

Wendy Darling

*squeezes hand* we all only ever have today anyway, am I right?

Wendy Darling

To the other side we gooo

Wendy Darling

I’d love to live in a world where we can all prosper too

Wendy Darling

*hug* You are a beautiful part of the community, I’m glad you are in a blue state too

Wendy Darling

We have indeed Its gone past mean to down right hateful I look forward to the day where we can join together and punch up instead this

Wendy Darling

That’s really all we can do either way, take care of those within reach

Wendy Darling

I do get the bestest community 💋

Wendy Darling

I hope you are right and Trump and his cabinet are a fabulous success for us and the world

Wendy Darling

Agree, the system as it is is untrustworthy

Wendy Darling

*hug* thank you for being here

Wendy Darling

Depends on state really… people’s definition of “white supremacy” is all over the place. But the White dudes for Harris ad on YouTube literally said “we need to take accountability for the past…” like dawg who gives a fuck can we plz focus on actually important things that affect our lives rn.

Ramon800

“Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow. Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning, Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?” “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.” I don't really have any interpersonal solutions, I barely leave home lol, but I always go to Tolkien's works when things seem bad, they remind me that things can be good again later.

Spook Nukem

Haven't listened yet but I will def need to. All I've got to say is we've eaten this shit sandwich once before and it sucked, but we got through it. I'm going to cautiously hope these next four years don't blow ass, but I am fully prepared to be wrong. Regardless of who you are and where you stand remember that your voice doesn't die with the election. Call out evil if you see it, protest harmful policy regardless of political leanings, and stand by those who find themselves abused by the system. You are all my fellow Americans and my fellow humans and I love you, be the person you owe yourself to be.

Definitely not a Lobster

Nobody hates white people. Only white supremacy and white fragility.

Ram

Hi Miss Wendy, first off here is a big hug from this short bean *looong hugs* and (heads up this is a ramble!) i'm sorry if this sounds stupid or silly or well thought out. But i saw a young man talk about election aftermath the day before the polls opened and he had such a heartwarming message that no matter the result it made me feel at peace. I'm going to try and reiterate it but I might fumble. Ulitimently, humanity has made a choice to move a step in a new direction. This direction might be scary for some but the reason we are taking that step it go be a happier nation and live happier lives. Now a lot of people do not agree with that step and are reasonably scared. But people are choosing a path for their own better tomorrow, and I have faith that their better tomorrow isn't intending to tear others down or hurt them but to make their lives and their friends and families just a little bit better. I guess in all my rambling I just want to say, no matter the direction we choose to walk in you and I and the other persons reading this are walking twoards a better future. We might stumble, we might fall, heck we might loose out shoe in that puddle you thought was shallow, but we are choosing to move to a brighter and better future, I believe so anyways. No matter the outcome we will ALL move forward. *gently takes your hand* lets walk not divided but together. It will be alright. ❤️. You will be alright. ❤️

Nicky Shortstacks

I thought for a while about what I'm gonna say, but I'm not great with words still gonna try. I'm gonna have faith that this was meant to happen. I'm gonna hope it's gonna go better then people thought. My words to you that are scared and worried are have faith with me, maybe not in a higher power like myself but in your fellow human that you and all of us will get through this.

Ogre.Boi

You and me both brother.

Seth JayArch

I’m glad we can have this place to come and be civil regardless of who anyone voted for. Bc unfortunately there’s a minority of assholes in every group that gives the majority a bad name. But im happy to see the comments being positive. Someone said once that hoping the person you didn’t vote for fails is like being on a plane and hoping the pilot makes a critical mistake. So let’s hope someone does well that will allow us to prosper. And regardless of who you voted for I hope you have a good day.

Seth JayArch

Thank you for this Miss Wendy. You are a rock for me and many others. A source of strength, inspiration, and solid foundation. I think what I will try to do is be that rock for others, you included Miss Wendy. As a minority I feel fortunate to live in a blue state, but it's still tough and im still scared. I think as a community we can help eachother feel less invisible, and less isolated. I think having community is SO important right now for lonely people like me.

Mo

I wasn't able to vote yesterday due to being in a rush from waking up early for a visitation, but either way I didn't believe that the main 2 candidates were the best whether due to policies, track records, or whatnot. I feel like part of the problem is that in relatively recent years we've lost the ability to be respectful about politics and recognize nuance and instead it's "you voted for the wrong person so you're a terrible human being". I remember hearing of a celebrity being asked 10 or so years ago, what they thought about a president and the response is basically my hope, "I didn't vote for him but I hope he succeeds." Granted the celebrity might have agreed with some messed up things idk, but I hope that whoever gets voted in is able to make things better for the people.

Joshua Jackson

"What if fear got us here?" and "They're not all bad actors" are the important things to remember. The MAGA hat became some kind of monolith, and it isn't right to hate anyone who wore it, or to hate anyone who didn't hate it. That's too many people and too much hate. I have no idea what the future looks like, but I'm going to do what I know best right now: go about my day, keep in touch with my loved ones, and be ready to drop everything and help my sister if she needs me to. Take care, everybody.

Blindluck92

I'm not going to lie; I'm somewhat scared about the future, but this did help, so thank you, Miss Wendy. Hopefully, all the scary things that could go wrong won't, and you can post all things SFW and NSFW here. But no matter what, somehow, we will all get past this. Thank you again for your hard work. It may not be said a lot, but none of us would be here as a community without you and all the effort you put in.

Hellsing's pet vampire

Totally agreed. The problem is we really can’t trust any of them to do that.

Liam

trump 2024 hells ya… ngl tho I have tried to appreciate the Democratic Party in the past 4 years but constantly I have struggled to be financially stable and work through the years. Not only that but living Texas and the border crisis has affected this place so much and I live up north too. Fentanyl has been killing literal kids here ands it’s terrible. And as a white guy, I didn’t wanna vote for somebody who pushes a narrative that I am not a good person because I’m white. But my biggest decider was that trump promised to end the war Ukraine while Kamala argued to support them. Nobody is winning that war and if anything it’s grounds ww3. It’s a scary and I want the US to end or have nothing to do with conflicts. Anyway, I am excited to see the reformation of the United States. I wanna see the boomers out of politics and have younger brighter minds be put to test. I wanna see our border become safe and not have my friends die from fent coming from the south. Anyway I know this community is most likely majority left leaning but this is my opinion. I’m proud to be an American and support trump. He and his cabinet understand the shit I’ve been through and he promises me he’ll help me. I trust that and will hold him accountable.

Ramon800

The other issue, some people will pick the lesser of two evils, the one who sucks the least, or the one who will keep things the same rather than worse.

Shae Reub

Your thoughts are beautiful and inspiring. 🫂 I am also part of the minority in most ways. I am a mixed race poc, queer, female, military veteran. I extend a hand and support to anyone who needs it at all times; especially today! 🌻🧸

CryBabyRebellion

I think the most important thing is to realize that the majority of people want a very similar future of relative peace and unification, they just don’t believe it will be achieved the same way. We all think differently and we all come up with different solutions. I believe that both will be bad but I chose one based on the issues that are most important to me at this moment and who I think will help those the most. Anyone who decides that violence is the answer needs to reevaluate their mindset to realize that we’re all in this together and killing each other or hurting each other isn’t the answer. We need to talk to each other and try to empathize with each other’s experiences and beliefs.
