A respectable uniform for honest work
Added 2024-02-24 03:46:30 +0000 UTCMoney doesn't grow on trees, so even May may need to find a part-time job to be able to fully enjoy her vacation. There just happens to be a fancy restaurant in the city hiring young waitresses, so it'd be a waste not to give it a try, right? ;)
May's uniform went through about 3 different designs (just for the qipao, as initially the chinese restaurant was going to be a maid cafe instead), but I think I'm quite happy with how this one turned out.
The restaurant was supposed to be a minor activity that gives the player a fun way to earn money, but ideas kept coming and it slowly turned into probably the main thing in the update. The gist of it is you can choose to work for a shift, going to each table and giving the customers what they ask... with the twist that sometimes they may ask for more than just food or drink. Of course, it's up to you wether to fulfill their desires or not, but happy customers are paying customers.
I wonder if I should speak about the new character we meet in the job or keep the suspense until you actually get to play it... xD

To keep things simple and somewhat predictable, you always have 4 tables to visit, which you can interact with in whatever order you want. Then the game is gonna roll some RNG to decide if the customer on the table you go to will ask for smth more or not. (probably 50/50, with the last table always guaranteed to make sure your shift isn't boring if you didn't get any scene before xD) For this update I'm probably gonna make it 1 special scene for each table, so 4 in total. The tutorial is gonna have pre-defined scenes tho, since I need to introduce the concept first and RNG could complicate things lol. I hope that helps! xD
