More about Cubemaps!

Hey everyone!

It's the begining of the week, and as you know, I did lot of test yesterday about Cubemaps, and I manage to create a good workflow to get an amazing result with Cubemaps.

I still haven't really explain what are Cubemaps, so I will do now:
Cubemaps provide a simple method of environment mapping, in which distant scenery - such as skies and surrounding environments - is mapped to a panoramic texture.
It means that i'm able to create whole environment without affecting the performance, it's just a simple texture that makes it look like it's big. So for example, I will use this method to create the nether of Oasis, as I don't want it to be a place you can explore much on Oasis (since there is already a big nether in the new map), but I want to keep the immersion so when go to the nether, there will be the pack a punch and all this environement around. (I also plan to use it for other stuff that I haven't reveal yet :p)

The video explains more than what words can do, but this is a huge milestone in improving maps without impacting the performance :D
