First things first, thank you all so much for your patience, your support, and your interest over these last few months as I have worked on this update!

This project is a bit of a leap of faith for me, and I really appreciate the early adopters who have found Fantasy Valley and shown their support. Hopefully this update brings even more folks to the project!

What took so long, bro?

Great question, my man. Chapter two has been in the works for a few months now... I'd boil it down to a steep learning curve. This is my first attempt at a visual novel, so I am still learning at every stage of the process. From writing the story to creating the art to coding it all in Renpy, I have a lot of room for improvement. 

Additionally, I bit off more story than I could chew and my production pipeline was a mess. Chapter two spans the next six days in David's story. If I want to release more regularly, I'll need to be smarter about planning each chapter's length and smarter about execution.

What can we expect from this Chapter?

Chapter two continues to expand David's world and to introduce him to even more of the story's characters. David is kept busy this chapter with the start of his University career, but he still manages to catch a few peeks and even to score a bit of action...

Fantasy Valley remains a very linear plot, but hopefully by the end of the chapter, you'll have noticed a bit more flexibility and opportunity to explore between conversations. Ideally, this ability to explore will be expanded upon in the future.

Keep on working! Obviously, the amount of time I can dedicate to the project depends in part on how much support and funding I can garner here on Patreon so please share the project with relevant communities online when you can!
