You may or may know that this is the first time I've used Patreon. I set this page up a little over two weeks ago and have been genuinely surprised and humbled by the support I've already had.
Although I have quite a substantial back-catalog of games behind me, I know that supporting an as yet undelivered project can be a bit of a leap of faith.
I'll just keep reassuring you all that what I intend to deliver will be well worth it and should exceed expectations. I'm very confident of that.
One slightly nerve-wracking thing that I have just been through is the Patreon payment system. The billing cycle goes through at the start of each month, so until pledges are collected you just can't be sure whether the level of support you think you have turns out that way in reality.
Thankfully there were less than 5% declined payments and only a couple of 'grab the content and run' cancellations.
So here we are in February. A whole new month.
I intend to review my patronage tier levels this week and introduce at least one additional tier.
If anything I'll be adding a lower cost tier and probably reducing the cost of some of the mid and higher priced tiers too.
I'll also be clarifying how my 'credits for patrons' reward system will work.
And finally, the image above is just a nice little lighting and reflection test I was playing with today.
The hardest part is getting the eye contact to work. Quite a bit of trial and error.
Fortunately Bridgette is quite patient with me. :)
