In the studio. A kid in an (audio) candy store...

Hi everyone! 

I'm posting work in progress clips from the studio through Patreon Lens. These may include little clips of early mixes, clips of tracking instrument layers, brand new sounds I'm playing around with and discovering in the studio. It's just part of my exploratory process when I work. I'll be in the studio for the month finishing up the new album. They will be little story-like posts and exclusive to patrons. They will delete after 24 hours. No obligation to view, I know everyone is busy. But the point is I wanted to give some daily access to the process in the studio if anyone out there is interested.  

Every quarter I will create a more polished recap video with highlights, voiceover explanations etc. of what I've been up to. I'm hiring a camera person and editor to help me with that. So those videos will take a little more time and will be published here on the news feed.

But for now, these Lens posts will be a little scrappier and spontaneous. You'll be able to view them via my creator page on the Patreon app.

*The rad ink drawing of my studio (shown above) was done by my friend Louisa Schabas. It was for the12 bit Blues liner notes booklet. She is one my favorite artists on the planet. She is an accomplished Film Art Director, Painter and Model Builder and is always working on something creative. We met in a copy shop 20 years ago when I was making test copies of the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome book. We hit it off right away and have been friends ever since. She is also one of my earliest collaborators. She did all the grey scale shading on the Some of my Best Friends are DJs comic and Nufonia Must Fall graphic novel. You can even see her real-time hand writing in the 8 bit Blues (10,000 miles) video. She also built many of the proof-of-concept models for The Storyville Mosquito. She's an amazing spirit with a wonderful sense of humor. Keep an eye out for her work! It's just amazing.
