Strings, Stings, and Bowing Things!

I wanted to share a little behind the scenes clip of the studio as we are finishing the string recording session for Space Cadet animated feature. We are adding additional string layers to some of the tracks that I made for the action sequences in the film. We are also "stinging" certain dramatic moments that need an extra musical flash for drama or tension!
You can hear our violinist (Marcus Takizawa), violist (Lana Tomlin) and cellist (Dave J. Campbell) tracking some things onto the scene. You can also see string arranger Vid Cousins engineering the session. They are all wonderful musicians and this room sounds amazing as far as natural hall reverbs are concerned!
We have one more day with the strings and then tomorrow we will be recording all the brass and wind instruments!
