Quick note for Amafuga

Hello everyone,

Quick little note to let you know the progress of the Amafuga game.

First of all, know that things are progressing well.

So, yes, in fact, I haven't put anything online yet. There's no point in me broadcasting a skeleton. For now it's mostly coding, there's not much graphical stuff to show. I have to wait until the game is at least operational before presenting it.

So, I'm furnishing a little by putting some AI pictures, but know that I'm working hard on it, so don't worry :)

Then, as you can see in the attached image, on the progress side, the "game" part strictly speaking consists of an image part on the left and a block game part on the right.

As the fight against the enemy character progresses, the image part will gradually be revealed.

The mechanical part of the image which is discovered as the game progresses is almost complete. I have a technically operational version that I will improve over time (with animation effects), but as it stands it works correctly.

I started implementing the combat part. I have several combination attack engines set up that I am currently arranging. There is the basic mechanics (when you combine three identical colors, you provoke an attack for example), but also the level of intelligence of the AI. If I make an opponent too powerful, the player will get tired very quickly. Likewise, if the bosses suck at dying, the game will be completely uninteresting. There will probably be a lot of adjustment to be made. But when I get to this level of refinement, I will do it based on your feedback.

In terms of progression in the game, I have planned a campaign where the player will progress from one map to another. The first map will correspond to a trip to Egypt where the player will encounter different enemies. As you progress, the enemies will increase in difficulty level, but the player will gain skill points. He can spend these points by increasing his attributes (shield, life, resistance, etc.) or acquiring special attack skills. I plan to make it so that the player can easily reallocate his skill points without limitation. This will surely change when the game is finalized in its architecture with a limit of re-specialization every x levels of progression for example to force the player to think about what he is doing :)

To be continued !

Sincerely,

Dom.
